Guitar Atlas Jamaica: Your passport to a new world of music, Book & CD

I love it...
I love these Guitar Atlas books! I've also got the Africa and Celtic ones, which are a bit more complicated unless you're well-versed in fingerstyle, alternate tunings and complex rhythms. But this Jamaica book is much easier to get into; many familiar reggae grooves and a couple twists I'd never been exposed to before...very inspiring. The solos are great studies in the power of simplicity and I like the brief history lessons that accompany each sub-genre's studies.

Not authentic...
I love reggae, but if its not authentically played I cannot bear it..The book contains some familiar riffs and chops but compromises on feel and timing..The author's playing didn't inspire me and as a result I put it down. The Africa book from the same series is far more interesting...
