BENEXMARTTuya Zigbee Hub PIR Sensor Door Sensor Temperature and Humidity Sensor (Combination packages)

This is an updated review. My original review said that this item did not integrate with anything and was pretty much useless unless it was in the Tuya Life / Smartlife app. I was contacted by someone on WhatsApp asking if I could test some new functionality as regards IFTTT functionality integrate, which I have and are now editing my review to accommodate this new development.Whats good.The hub is really easy to set up and connects to the devices easy as well.The PIR sensors work very well and pick everything up and are a lot smaller than i would have anticipated. They are now seen in IFTTT and i can now trigger my HIVE lights with motion detected from the PIR sensor. I would give the hub and the PIR sensors 5 stars as a rating. If you want cheap motion sensors that you can work with other items via IFTTT then these are definatly something you should consider.The two gang light switch is brilliant. It’s easy to install (if you are brave enough to mess with your own electric) and paired with the hub first time. It’s the easiest smart home thing I think I’ve had to do. Highly recommendedThe bad:The Door sensors. While they are now seen in IFTTT they are in the "person detected" section and not the "Door Open" and "Door CLose" apps. The good thing is i can trigger on an event, but you need it to know the state of either door open or door close which you only get from the Tuya App. I have had this system in place now for about 2 weeks and in that time the sensor has lost connection to the HUB about 4 times and ive had to repair it. I'm surprised at this as one of the PIR sensors i purchased is on the outside of the door in question and that's been absolutely fine. The door sensor has now started showing the door as open, when its closed even though for around a week said it was shut. THe spacing between each part of hte sensor is only around 3mm.I would only give the door sensor 1 star.The average:Then the temperature and humidity sensor. The sensor itself works, i've got it in my child's room and i gives very good accurate readings. The problem is i can do nothing with it. Its not something IFTTT see's but this wouldn't be a problem if the Tuya app was better. In the Tuya app i can create automation saying "if this item is above X oC then tigger this automation", but there is no option to tigger anything externally. I also have Samsung Smartthings and this has the concept of a virutal switch which you can tigger and IFTTT see that; Tuya does not, so i really cant do anything with the information from the sensors other than view it in the Tuya application.i would give the temp sensor 4 stars. It works really well and if i had everything Tuya then it would be great, but i dont so cant intergrate it with Nest thermostat or lights etc.

I bought this hub, with PIR sensor and T&H module, because I have a lot of other SmartLife / Tuya items on my WiFi network home automation. The hub was easy to set up and - after pressing the appropriate buttons - the accessories were immediately detected and appeared in the SmartLife app. So far, so good...** The temperature & humidity unit works well and its readings seem to be accurate. The information displayed is useful and can be used to trigger my heating thermostat – but ONLY because that thermostat is also on the SmartLife platform. The T&H sensor is not exposed to voice assistants, nor does it appear as a useable input device in IFTTT, so would be of little help outside of the Tuya / SmartLife ecosystem.** The little PIR sensors are excellent. No false alarms and they work 100% reliably. These CAN be used with IFTTT to integrate with other systems, and I will probably order more of them.** The door / window sensors were not tested.The bad news is that other Zigbee devices (even a standard 3.0 bulb) cannot be linked to the hub, so we find that this is yet another “proprietary” system that only works with devices from that supplier.In summary: good if you are already invested in the Tuya / SmartLife platform, but very limited in its abilities because of compatibility issues.

As an avid Home Automation user, I was interested in trying out some temperature and humidity sensors for climate control in my new house. Zemismart reached out to me and kindly provided me with their Smart Gateway with a T&H sensor for a review.In the package you'll find a small Zigbee gateway, with a power cord and a small Ethernet cable, along with an even tinier Te&H sensor. After installing the Smart Life app on your smartphone from the Google store, the set up process can start. Be careful that app uses the phone's local language settings, which can be a little confusing at first. Please use automatic discovery (swipe the 'adding manually' menu to the left). The Smart Gateway is quickly found with auto discovery (be sure to add the options to use wife and blue tooth) and a sub-device can be added next. In this case, a T&H sensor, but you can add numerous devices. After pressing the reset button for 5 seconds, the Smart gateway picks up the T&H sensor and it is automatically added to the Smart Life app. Now you can measure the temperature and humidity in your chosen environment. This process to a little longer than needed, but that was mostly because I wanted to set it up as quick as possible (and didn't read carefully).It is an intuitive sensor which I would highly recommend for people who plan on using multiple zigbee sensors in their house. The next step for me will be to integrate the T&H sensor in Hassio (Home Assistant).

Likes. Ease of connection of approved zigbee devices. Ease of setup. Works great with the tuya app.Dislikes. The zigbee devices don’t work properly with Alexa routines. Door contacts appear as motion sensors. Temp sensors don’t appear. Alexa Routines don’t trigger. Amazon support have been ongoing for a month now with absolutely no progress which I have to say is massively disappointing.

The pros of this item are that it was simple to set up and use, the smart life app is very simple and allows you to make scenes and automations using this device simply. The customer service and shipping was excellent.The downside is that the PIR sensor with mine didn't work and the thermometer wouldn't trigger scenes. Great item in theory just needs a bit more quality control. The issues were resolved fully and speedily by the seller.

Works well and easy to set up however cannot connect with Alexa all Google assistant however works amazingly well within the smart life app.

Very simple to set up and add the items that came with it. Very disappointed that existing plugs I have connected via smartlife app cannot link to the hub.
