Best trimmer purchase in years
This Remington beard trimmer has been a great upgrade. The battery life is excellent and lasts multiple trims without needing a recharge. We went to Japan for 2.5 weeks and I didn't even need to bring the charging cable. The adjustable guard is a huge plus as you don’t have to keep switching attachments to get the length you want, which saves time and hassle. The vacuum feature really works and makes cleanup way easier with far less hair left behind. It trims evenly, feels precise, and is easy to clean after use. Overall, a very convenient and well-designed trimmer that delivers great results.

Powerful vacuum. Better than the Philips Norelco!
I have owned two of the Philips Norelco vacuum beard trimmers in the past. I thought they were great and I just came to accept that while they caught a lot of the hair trimmings, quite a bit of them ended up in the sink. That was fine, I thought, at least it contained a good portion of the mess. The Remington has opened my eyes to what is possible. The vacuum suction is more powerful and, as other reviewers mentioned, the slot that pulls the clippings is much bigger so it caught much more of the hair clippings. An order of magnitude more. I have attached pictures demonstrating the difference between the slots. The chamber that holds the vacuumed trimming on the Remington has some pros and cons: Pros: 1) It comes right off of the trimmer and can be easily dumped and washed out. The Philips Norelco couldn't really be washed as there was only a door that would swing open. 2) It seems to be a bigger chamber. Cons: 1) It does require you to disassemble more of the trimmer to just empty the bin whereas with the Philips you just open the little door and shake it out. Overall I prefer the design of the Remington because I can keep it cleaner. As for the trimmer head/comb it's definitely bigger than the Philips Norelco. That said, I have a separate small detail trimmer that I would use to trim close under my nose. With the Remington's second detail head, I didn't really need my other smaller trimmer. The detail head worked great and the suction still grabbed the trimmings. That said, I do feel like it is harder to remove the trimmer head and switch it out with the detail head. I felt like I was going to break it. Time will tell how it holds up, but for now it's fine. The main reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because I would have liked to have seen a better way to charge it. Either an inductive charging base like my Braun BodyCruzer or a USB-C connector (or both!). I think that would make it even better.

Good product
This is a replacement to a unit I’ve had close to 20 years. The vacuum feature is much improved and works well, overall I’m pleased with my purchase and would buy it again.

Best trimmer
This is fantastic. Over the years I have gone through many different kinds and even a few other brands that offer a vacuum function but this one is by far the best. The edger works great. Since the handle is longer you can be precise and get a good grip when lining up. The trimmer gets my beard even on any length. It’s wide so I can be quick. The attachments are also very sturdy. That was my concern with a competitor product when you had to change out the trimmers or tried to adjust the settings, it was very flimsy. This one locks on very tight and even the plastic itself is durable. The battery life is fantastic as well. I charge it maybe every two weeks or more and I use it just about every day. Easy to empty out, and it grabs a good amount of the hair so it’s not a big mess to clean ups. I recently lost one of the attachments while transporting it so I sent an email to the company asking about getting a new one. They were able to replace it promptly with no charge I had it delivered in less than a week. I absolutely recommend getting this

Less mess, not without stress
I was getting really fed up with my bathroom getting covered in hair every time I trimmed my beard and decided to give this vacuum trimmer a try. They advertise up to 90% of trimmings being caught by the vacuum. I felt like maybe it was 80% in practice. The one thing I'll say is I have no more hair literally launching itself forward like I used to - the stray hairs now just fall flat down into the sink mostly. One big downside to me is the flimsy, flexible blade guard. It's only attached at the back and if you use any pressure at all you're going to get an uneven trim that swings wildly. You have to use the lightest touch which is very difficult when getting into grooves and tight spaces of your face. The first time I used it it was pretty noticeable how inconsistent it was. The blade guard adjustments are also very tiny increments and it can be hard to get it to click into the exact number you want. Many times you put the line at one number only to have it click at the number below it. Once it's "clicked" in, it is stopped from going lower but it will slide up to higher numbers without being stopped. Another downside is that with the vacuum chamber at the front, the blade is really far back. This makes trimming around the nose literally impossible. I could not get more than a half inch towards my nose no matter what I tried. I've read some people say they had to use the brush to get the hairs out as they were stuck, but that was not my experience. A light tap on the side of the garbage got it out easily. However if you have a thick or long beard, you will probably clog up the chamber and have this issue and mostly likely need to empty the chamber multiple times as it's not very large. Unfortunately emptying it means taking off and reattaching the blade guard which is a but cumbersome. I can't speak on it definitively, but I'd imagine you might lose some of the vacuum suction if the chamber is more full or the battery is lower. The included edge trimmer could be better. It doesn't get as close as I'd like and does not want to catch every hair without multiple passes. My OneBlade still does this job much better and I also have to use it to get near my nose. It kind of partially defeats the purpose of a vacuum to reduce the mess only to have to use other trimmers to compensate for its shortcomings. All-in-all I'd say it does reduce the mess considerably but it's far from a perfect product.

I own an much older philips version of this and felt it was getting dull, looking around i came across this model from Remington that appeared to be exactly the same and MUCH improved. This was also on sale at a deep discount so it was worth a try. as it turned out i was an excellent unit, trims easily and evenly, and since it's a bigger unit than your standard beard trimmer it cuts more hair with each stroke which makes trimming your beard very fast and easy, the only thing you will need to do is break out the scissors to trim under your nose as the larger size makes it difficult. I'm fine with that as it's not an inconvenience. The vacuum feature actually works! and the catcher is made of a fine mesh so it keeps the shaver clean. And the vacuum feature actually works, i'd say it captures about 95% of the hair cut from your beard. it's an excellent trimmer, i'm very glad i bought it.

I would only ever use Beard Trimmers with a Vacuum (much tidier). This is possibly the best I have used. It's a shame that it doesn't use a phone charger to recharge. Easy to pull apart and clean.

not comfortable, vacuum working on half power (half hairs on the ground)

Vacuum works well - it's a must feature! Well designed and easy to use. I used to have a Phillips with a vacuum and this model is as good and easier to clean. Price is also 5 stars.
