These work perfectly on any standard size graphite or color pencils. They're light so they're very comfortable when drawing.

this extender won't hold any of the pencils i have. what were they designed for?

I go through colored pencils pretty quickly. And Prismacolor pencils are not cheap so I try to use them until they cannot be used any more. Sometimes, while there's plenty of life left in a sharpened down pencil, holding on to that nub becomes challenging. I knew there was something on the market that can extend the life of my nub pencils and tried these wooden handle pencil extenders. To say that they did the trick would be an understatement. These extenders are awesome. And the best part is, I can still sharpen them down even while they are housed in the extender. This kit comes with 6 extenders. And they are pretty snug as compared to a different set of extenders that I purchased awhile back that allowed you to twist and tighten. But once the tightening goes which is usually not too long after purchasing, those extenders are useless. No such issue with these. I love these.
