Not the best film I’ve used
This film looks nice and adds privacy. It still lets in a lot of light, which is what we wanted. However, it was more difficult to work with than a different brand of film I installed a few weeks ago in another room. The texture and thickness made it difficult to trim once it was in place on the window. This film does not come with any tools, which also complicated the installation. You’ll need a very sharp utility knife, a straight edge (I’d recommended metal), something to smooth out the bubbles (a credit card works), and a spray bottle for water.

Window films take work to install, this one has lower privacy and is harder to work with
To start, these window films are installable without too much skill/practice. It just takes times. I’m in a bottom floor apartment, but wanted to let some light in during the day (and keep my bedroom dark in the mornings) so I ordered three different films. This review will be a mix of general advice and specifics for this film.First, this stuff takes lots of rounds of work. You have to measure, cut, try and make your cut perfectly square, then separate the backing sheet. If you haven’t worked with window films before, I’d describe them as if two pieces of indestructible saran wrap were stuck to each other. Separating them is a huge pain. Since they work by static electricity, one thing that worked for me was to leave the actual film on the floor, then peel off the backing. Once you start peeling, the film will hold itself in place. Then there’s the window application - a few things to note. If you have a film that’s clear and uses texture, it’ll be harder to squeegee, harder to cut, and (at least in this film’s case) less privacy-preserving. Even if they’re all rated as the same privacy level, different films are definitely more or less private. So unless you’re specifically a fan of the “rain”, I’d recommend another film. There are plenty of directions with each roll, of varying grammatical quality. But you’ll figure it out, just don’t expect the installation to be fast.

Film cannot be applied to a smooth finish.
This is the second roll I have received. This one has the same problem I encountered as on the first one which I returned. There is a deep groove along the entire length of the tube which has caused a permanent crease in the material which all the rubbing in the world will not get out. This renders the sheet unusable.

It's not the easiest to install but the final result looks great.
I bought this for a bathroom window. I had a hard time getting it to stick, it's almost like the plastic was too thick and heavy, it kept wanting to peel up and come off. I ended up using a hair dryer which helped some with the air bubbles and helped it to adhere to the window. It's not perfect, there are still bubbles underneath but it's hidden by the texture of the design. It provides privacy but still allows light through which is what I wanted. I have used the thinner tinted window film before and in my opinion, the thinner one is easier to apply.

Nice but with some installation issues
First of all it distort but does not completely obscure someone from being able to see inside your home. Secondly you have to use copious amounts of water for it to stick well or it will begin lifting. The ease or difficulty with application is largely dependent on what you are covering and the difficulty in cutting the right size because there is no grid to cut along so you have to measure and cut without guidance. It is very nice once it is installed.

Not happy with the return policy
I am absolutely furious. I unrolled the spool of vinyl little by little and began cutting & placing it to fit my window. As I got about midway through the roll of vinyl there was a 2 inch cut in the middle of the sheet that was still on the spool. So now half of my window is done. And the vinyl that’s left has a gash in it. To get a refund or replacement item I am being told by the company I have to return the damaged vinyl. So all of the work I did on the first half of the window was for nothing. Absolutely unacceptable.

Wast of time and money
Total garbage, will not stay on the window more than a couple days before pealing. The windows were cleaned properly. I installed it on one window using water as instructed to help get the bubbles out but it wouldn’t stay in place for two minutes. The next one I installed on a dry window. It went on easy enough and looked good but started peeling around the edges two days later. This product is a wast of time and money! It also didn’t provide the privacy I wanted or expected from the claims in the add

Doesn’t stick/stay if it’s cold.
We used the frosted film on several tall windows in the garage to mask being able to look inside and see what’s stored inside. The film was easy to cut to size.I initially attempted to install it on a cool/cold day. It didn’t stick/stay, it kept coming loose. I waited and tried again on a warmer day and then it stayed in place.Looks nice and prevents looking into the garage from outside.
