Very nice looking - Great initial impression - Here is why - AND Long Term Follow-up
Great initial impression, and I will update along the way. This Feit bulb was purchased (qty 3 - 2 bulb packs, total 6 bulbs) to replace my CRLight bulbs that had terrible lifespan. I really like the look of these Feit bulbs. The filaments are nice and tall/long (taller than other LED filament bulbs) and provide a larger area that is giving off light. I am very particular about my lighting and really appreciate quality light. I look for 2700K or 3000K color temperature in a high color rendering index (CR number). These specific bulbs go into fixtures that look best with a clear bulb lamp.A few points:1) Interestingly these bulbs received (photos attached) have fewer led filaments (but fatter filaments) than those pictured by Amazon. I don't know how that might matter, since I think they look great.2) Brightness: these definitely look like the stated "100W equivalent" and about like the 1500 Lumen. I am satisfied with the brightness. The filaments inside are relatively long compared to others of this type, and I think that helps disperse the light and perceived brightness - whatever - I like this look with increased area of light source.3) 2700K: Yes, these appear to be about CCT 2700K - again, I am particular about that.4) Size A21: some reviewer said these are "too big" or "larger". That is NOT TRUE. These are exactly as stated A21 size (after all the universe has not changed the way "A" shape bulbs are measured since they came to be MORE THAN A CENTURY AGO).Further down the road I will provide another update regarding longevity, since the fixtures these go into are on a very controlled automation that will provide very accurate lifespan, Five of these Feit bulbs installed in identical fixtures (non-dimming application) on April 18, 2021.UPDATE June 25, 2022:The first bulb died with about 5,200 hours - Feit says 15,000 hours on the package.I still like these bulbs.UPDATE August 7, 2022:The second bulb died with a lifespan about 5,400 hours (versus the stated 15,000 hours).UPDATE August 18, 2022:The third bulb (of six) died with a lifespan ballpark 5,500 hours (versus the stated 15,000 hours). AND the manufacturer did honor their warranty for the previous failure, and for this update the manufacturer has again honored their warranty and delivered a replacement. I am still satisfied regarding Feit Lighting and these bulbs specifically. I do like the filament appearance and the A21 size.UPDATE October 19, 2024:A fourth bulb has died. At this point since I am not tracking individual bulbs like some weirdo old dude I have no idea if a failed bulb is part of the original purchase or one of the warranty replacements.CONCLUSION:I am completely satisfied with my purchase and ownership of these bulbs. I actually hope Feit continues manufacturing and selling this specific style (A21 clear filament 2700K 1500lumen) since it looks great in many different light fixtures throughout our house. My Ramble about LED bulbs:I am NOT a lightbulb scientist. My family and I are just normal folks who use lights that have light bulbs that need replacing. Years ago early in the transition from incandescent bulbs to compact florescent bulbs to now LED bulbs there was alot of various pain. Compact florescent never lived up to any manufacturers expected lifespan. Early LED bulbs outright looked like crap (poor color rendering / improper color temperature). And early in this transition for consumers the stated/expected lifespans were just a rectal pluck. Manufacturers gathered their accountants, engineers and warranty odds makers and locked them in the back utility closet and said "you can come out when you come up with 1) retail cost, 2) warranty, 3) stated lifespan that still makes us a profit. Then voilà !! they are sending light bulbs to consumers that they say will last 10 years. We all know dang well 10 years had not already gone by with time for them to develop, start production and actually test that lifespan. So it doesn't take some lightbulb scientist Thomas Edison type to figure out that those early stated lifespans were bogus. Actually Thomas Edison would have done the same thing and probably did. Smart folks know Thomas Edison DID NOT INVENT THE LIGHT BULB. Edison 1) pioneered manufacturing techniques toward a long lasting filament, 2) advanced electrical power distribution to industries and residences, 3) other stuff too. The point is Edison sold/marketed light bulbs and other electrical devices and 2) sold/marketed electricity that light bulbs needed. So it definitely helped his marketing team to propagate the falsehood of "inventing" the light bulb. ANYHOO: We are all past this now in the year 2024. Think in terms of shape, style and characteristics of LED bulbs NOT the old school incandescent. Figure out what your preferences are for color temperature. Understand the importance of quality and a high "color rendering index". Know your dimmers capabilities. Know your needs for light output in "lumens". (To Manufacturers: you need to STOP with this crap comparing light output to those old school incandescent bulbs. Yeah I am old and lived most my life through that. So if I am past that and tired of seeing "100 watt replacement" I can ONLY IMAGINE what the younger folks think: "what's a 100 watt incandescent look like? Huh?Wah?". Just use lumens. period.) For smart LED bulbs, the technology is alot of fun that I enjoy seeing continued development. However generally I do not find the value added for that function versus the cost and just want quality lighting that is reliable. We do use lighting automation and dimming, but I don't need lights that change purple-blue-yellow-red.ENJOY!! Shoe

cool to the touch
i am going thru my house, and removing the LED lamps that are blazing hot. they keep blowing up way to soon.So i spied this type, with the LEDs in a rod, and wondered if they would run cooler. THEY DO run cooler. there is no voltage regulating electronics in the lamp base, only the FOUR RODS of LED bulbs wired in series.. i can grab onto the lamp base and hold onto it forever. Try that with another style of Led bulb, like a CREE lamp, and your skin will burn off.i like the light output, bright, warm color.just note, the one i got had four rods of led lamps. the picture in the description shows six led rods.

Bright and Attractive
Was not disappointed. These bulbs are very bright, perfect color and look very elegant. They dim very well and make no noise at any level of dimming. First picture is dimmed and second picture is brightest. I placed them in our living room and kitchen fixtures, both of which leave the bulbs exposed so you can see them. I cannot comment on longevity as I have only had them installed for one week but they are very nice bulbs!

Unfortunately 2 bulbs have stopped working
We installed a set in our kitchen island overhead lamps and we were very happy with the look and dimmable brighness until one stopped working after a few months. So I ordered another set thinking that I had bad luck. After installing another new bulb it failed after a couple of months. So far I have had 2 of 4 bulbs fail within a short period of time. Very disappointing. Wish I could get a refund, but the box is long gone in the trash.

When you need 100 watts....
Given the low energy consumption and non-existent heat, I'm just surprised we do not see higher wattage-equivalent LEDs. While 60W bulbs are good for most applications, sometimes you need more. I have two fixtures in a stairwell that do OK with 60W, but add two of these instead and it's now a well-lit stairwell. I like the dispersion of light as well. This clear element bulbs radiate light in all directions, unlike many of the frosted LED bulbs that don't radiate light downward (towards the base) very well. I think these filament bulbs imitate incandescent bulbs in a much better way.Shipping note - check your bulbs after receiving them, despite being LED they are still strung on thin wires inside the glass capsule. If mis-handled in shipping, the wires supporting the LED elements can get bent. Looking down from above, the LED elements should be evenly spaced around the center support. If they are not, the package has been dropped. I had to return one order for this - who knows what that will do for longevity if they are bent up.

Outdoor light bulb
We were looking for a replacement outdoor bulb. Went to our local home improvement store and could not find it. So our go to store was Amazon. Found the item immediately and at a comparable price with free shipping. The item arrived and now we can enjoy our back yard at night with the perfect lighting.

Great bulb sold in single quantities
It seems most LED bulbs on amazon are sold in multi-packs when you only need 1 or 2, especially these specialty ones. This one is a bit more expensive, but if you only need one bulb, it suits the bill. Makes nice warm light, almost like old-school incandescent bulbs. Hope it lasts the stated 20 K hours.

Sadly short lasting
***Edit*** This bulb started flickering, alternating between the filaments then burnt out altogether after just over one month of use. It was nice while it lasted, but ultimately disappointing. It is bright though. Maybe you'll get lucky.---------I needed a single bulb to illuminate the majority of my kitchen. This bulb is the best I could find. It is bright, nice looking, and affordable.
