Good Results! Love it.
I researched several water filtration systems, and this does its job for the price. The difference in our substandard water is noticeable and I do not smell the bleach odor in the tap water anymore, it tastes cleaner, and my hair and skin just feel better too. There is are also less deposits on shower/faucet surfaces. Because we're in a small home it was important that it be a very small system requiring just a little bit of wall space (we built it its own cabinet in the wall in the laundry room) and the filter is very easy to replace. More evidence its doing its job is when you see what was filtered out! Really yellow brown, and a little bit scary looking. I replaced at 6 months but I may replace earlier if I notice my water quality fading. Another huge advantage; my laundry went from hard, scratchy and dingy to bright white again. For me, this product is definitely worth it.

Works Great!
We've had this installed for 2 months. We noticed the difference in our clothes with the first wash. They are noticeably softer. We don't have to lug salt around which I really hated on salt softeners. This isn't really a softener, but it binds the hard minerals together and they pass through pipes and fixtures without depositing. It works great!

I recommend you purchase this product
I purchase this system a few months ago therefore, my final assessment is yet to come. If you prefer something vs nothing when filtering you home water. I recommend you purchase this product. My justification, I have purchase two other whole home filtration system in the pass. This one seems to fit the bill and get the job done like its competitors " the bulky and salt demanding system. " This system requires no maintenance, no salt, it's not bulky and my feels warmer, it's smell/taste better. Next year I will add/ tap a small and inexpensive filter to it. Something I can replace monthly ( if required). For me it's about having less clutter, having something vs nothing and most importantly having a sound mind.

When it wore out I shopped for the best saltless water softener I could find
We had a Fleck 5600 salt based water softener. When it wore out I shopped for the best saltless water softener I could find. The water is much softer with the Aquios than it was with the Fleck and water out of the tap now tastes like water from our under sink filter. This unit has far exceeded my expectations. Installation was easy and took about 20 minutes or less.

A good water filter system
We had the Aquios installed two weeks ago and are very pleased. The water quality seems much improved in taste and clarity. Our hardness improved from 250 ppm to 120 ppm. The laundry is coming out softer and cleaner and our dishes seem much cleaner and brighter than before. I use a fountain for our cats that kept getting a ring of scale, but since the Aquios was installed there hasn't been any more scale formation in the water dish. I am very pleased with this purchase and do recommend it. A much better price than similar items. I did have a plumber install it for $150 on the outside of our house where the water comes in from the main. Of course no filtration system will make your ice from a refrigerator ice maker clear, this one has seemed to make the ice much less cloudy.

UPDATE: Amazon.ca have stopped selling the replacement filters for this, which are supposed to be replaced every 4-6 months. I've written to Aquios 5 yes 5 times and they have ignored every email, so I would think that either the company has gone out of business or there customer service really sucks, either way .... Avoid this, there are planty of others out there. Been using this for a little over a week now. Done a water hardness test before installation and done another yesterday. Both same, no difference in the water hardness. So i have to conclude that it does NOT work. Not sure what to do now. I paid a plumber to install it, do i pay again to have it taken out? either way i'm out quite a bit of money. Don't make the same mistake as me.
