Makes a huge difference!!!
***UPDATE # 1***The heat index has been over 100 degrees where I live the past few days so I am anxious to get this up in our attic. We just had a newborn though 4 weeks ago so I haven't had a chance to put it up yet.I did however get a chance today to cover my attic pull down stairs and boy has it already made a difference!!I recently bought one of those attic door tents to help with the heat leaking down from the attic. It definitely made a difference but there was still quite a large difference in temperature of the door and the surrounding ceiling. After putting this reflective barrier over the door as well though it's basically the exact same temperature as the rest of the ceiling now!The attic door did have a roll of insulation tucked under the stairs originally. But it slid around and was falling apart and didn't work well. So what I did was leave that there and squeeze this barrier between the steps and the insulation. It was one long piece so there are no gaps. I then stapled it at the ends. I also added some of the barrier to areas of the door where there was no insulation at all.Putting this over the insulation gave me two benefits. One, this isn't really insulating, it just reflect heats, so now there is some real insulation below it as well. Second, it keeps the insulation in place so it can't slide around and fall apart. It took all of maybe 15 minutes to do this and the temperature just measured is only .1 degree different! This is on a day where it's 94 degrees currently and a heat index of 103. I measured the temps about 3 hours after installing it so this should be accurate. With these results I can't wait to get the attic done and see how much it helps. Unfortunately our nursery is above the garage and its been tough to cool down. We have a thermostat in that room so I should be able to fairly accurately see how much of a difference this makes in the attic.I uploaded some pics of how I did the pull down stairs and of the temperature comparison between the attic door and surrounding ceiling.***Prior Review***I bought this to insulate our garage door now that the heat and humidity of summer has arrived. I wasn't sure how much of a difference it would make and because our garage door is a high wind door, we can't use some of the precut insulating kits. For the install, I just used basic spray glue and sprayed the door and foil, waited a few seconds and then put it on. So far everything is sticking fine.As far as results. WOW!!! We had a heat index over 100 degrees a few days ago and when you walked outside the air hit you like diving in a jacuzzi. My garage however felt maybe 10 degrees at most hotter than our house and hardly humid at all!! After using a temperature gun it looks to be about 25-35 degrees cooler where the foil is.Unfortunately our nursery is above the garage so it's harder to cool. We did recently add some zones and a thermostat to the room which helped, but this fool did the most help.We have a lot left so I am going to do our attic ceiling next to try and save more energy. May be a few weeks since we have a newborn but I will post those results as well.In the meantime, attached are the garage door pics until the attic is done.

Separation of the layers.
As I was working on installing it the edges started peeling back. Not sure why but I would say quality control is getting poor.

Nice product. Used it to wrap stainless steel wine tanks. Saving a ton on energy. Best thing was that there was no way to expedite shipping so I wrote them an email explaining that I was in the middle of the project. Had it to me in 4 days instead of 10. Really appreciate that.

Aluminized rather than aluminum, not as durable
I have used radiant barriers of various types for decades. In the deep south, poly products degrade over time and become brittle and flaky. Make sure at least one face of the material is actual aluminum. This product does not have that (in spite of the description), so had to return it and delay the project. It will seal and reflect but it will not last many years.
