Sweet and sour, very delicious!There are 8 plums in one bag.

These are a lot better than I had expected. They are delicious with well-balanced sweet-tart-salty taste, with no chemically aftertaste. Only bad thing is these are addictive. I can eat a bag a day or even more.

I used to love this product which I found years ago in Japan. Back then it said it was non-sugar but since I could not read Japanese well I stopped since I was not sure what the sweetener was. It was very, very addicting.

At first, I was surprised that the 52g bag was not resealable. Then I see each plum is individually wrapped so it is not necessary that the larger bag be resealed.The plums are moist and still have their pits. The have a nice flavor of pickled plums. It is also a strong flavor, so perhaps only eat one at a time. Maybe two.

It was too sweet.

I need like 10 more bags of these!

Packaging and delivery were great. The taste was not right for me. It has sweet taste when putting in mouth then comes sourness. I prefer only salty and sour taste for umeboshi.

My family uses umeboshi as a topping for rice, mixed in ochazuke, or as a treat in the center of onigiri, inarizushi, or sushi. These individually wrapped plums are perfect for these dishes. I open the package but leave the plum inside. I squish it a bit to remove the stone center, then take a bit on my chopsticks and add it to whatever dish I’m making. I don’t eat the whole umeboshi in one bite, but you could, I suppose, as long as you remove the stone first. These plums have the right balance of flavors: intensely salty, sour, sweet and that indescribable flavor that good umeboshi have.
