We got this for our mini wire hair dachshund to sit outside with us in an area we made to look like a beach (even though it isn't). I had started out looking for a childs adirondock char but found this along the way. When it got here Sasha immediately went and sat and laid down on the cushion portion before we even started putting it together. Putting it together was not bad...The only problem (sort of) was putting on the things needed to hold the umbrella portion. We could not find any pre drilled holes or even marks where to put the screws in ...so did our measuring to make pencil marks etc. Just make sure you put the larger metal guide goes on the top back of the seat. There are two...one is a wee bit smaller than the other. If you don't do that i imagine the umbrella will not fit properly. The person who gave this a one star because the umbrella guides were not right and broke the back of the chair ... well.. perhaps ..?? you did not the the correct one on the top vs. bottom. Note also once you put the umbrella in place it will be slightly tilted forward..and that is ok. The umbrella handle goes down to the ground and i think that makes it more stable. Anyway, we won't be leaving the umbrella up because of concern about of a storm or wind that might come up but we do not keep our beach umbrellas up next to it either for the same reason. I think the photo says it all... she loves it... it is adorable. Will it last long? not sure. It is supposed to be weather resistant wood so we might consider putting on Thompsons water seal for good measure. In any case... we are thrilled with it and is a perfect addition to our back "beach" area and keeps our pup off the ground and...a better place for her to scout for squirrels and lizards... LOL

I just got done putting this together, took me 1.5 hours because I had to problem solve a few things when holes didn't line up well. I had NO problem with pre-drilled holes or holes not lining up once I loosened screws a little. There are no directions, per se, just pictures. What the 'directions' don't say is to not tighten the screws at the 'back' part of the chair, meaning the backrest, arm rest, and supports for the back rest. Don't tighten them until you are completely done. Leave them loose so you can adjust the arm rest holes to line up with the back rest. You'll only use one 'screw A' on the front legs. There are two holes but only one has the metal threads inside for the screw to grab threads. Step One says to put both 'screw A's through the back legs. Step 4 says use 'screw B' on the top hole of the back leg (the 'B' screw is longer and goes through 3 pieces of wood at this part to support the back rest). The braces for the umbrella might need to be stretched or pulled apart a little to fit the umbrella pole better. They are nested in the packaging, making one smaller than the other. The pre-drilled holes for the umbrella are small and easy to overlook. On the bottom support I used one pre-drilled and made my own hole ( just by forcing the wood screw through the wood) so I didn't have to bend the metal apart. It appears the umbrella is designed to be removed if desired, makes it easier to store too. I gave an over all rating of 5 for cuteness and sturdiness ( 100 pound limit).

Our little dog needed his own sitting area out on our deck. I came across this item and it was perfect! He's a 12 lbs Havanese, this was the perfect size for him to lounge on. Easy to put together, seems to be very sturdy, and the umbrella is easy to put on, up and down. We store the cushion and umbrella under cover when not in use. Planning to waterseal the frame so it will last. Great buy for our deck and our bouije pooch!

Every step of putting this together was a challenge….. the premade holes don’t match up with each other to screw it in. There’s many pieces of wood sticking out that gave me a splinter. I can’t get the umbrella in at all because the brackets don’t match up. I don’t know how a product could be so badly made considering the price!!! Mind you…. I had to reorder it because the first one I ordered was missing screws. Definitely not worth it. I would return it again however I don’t want to take it apart… AGAIN!🙂

This chaise is absolutely adorable. I purchased it for my spoiled toy Poodle. He loves to be outside a lot so I figured why not? As others have written, it did take me some time to put it together (1-1/2 )hours) due to confusing directions. It is sturdy and looks great on the patio.

Great gift for the grandkids. They love it.

I gave this to my granddaughter for her birthday back in april. Due to the fact they're waiting for their new house they didn't put it together until now. While putting it together it took three people and the arms do not fit. You cannot get the arms to go on and the umbrella does not go all the way up. Other than that it is a cute chair.
