Great for building the ‘Square Foot Gardening’ trellis design!
I used this netting to build the trellis described in ‘Square Foot Gardening’, and it worked perfectly!. My husband built the frame from 1/2” EMT conduit, and laid it down flat. Then I took this netting and tied it over the pipe and then back to itself, using super glue on the knots to keep them from coming loose. (I’m sure full instructions can be found online.) Next year I will add another trellis! We mostly grew sweet potato and cucumbers on the trellis. I looked all over for a nylon netting to make the Square Foot Gardening’ trellis. This package has enough netting to use fresh trellising every year for the next 5 years or so. Super great deal!

Good quality netting
decent quality netting that I can use in my garden to protect it from the deer at night. We also have a groundhog and a fox who visit us regularly and it’s a deterrent from my fenced in vegetable garden.

This is some of the strongest nylon netting I’ve used. I’m wanting to try vining watermelons
We are in the midst of putting a special soil mix in our raised beds. This year we are going to let most of our vegetables grow on supports to get them taller. We are using metal fence posts, we drive into the ground, then zip tie. The netting is tough. I tried pulling it apart. The material it’s made of will not have any problem with our vegetables weighing it down. We are facing some bad weather this Wednesday. All of our seedlings are growing under our grown lights. We are expecting a large harvest in approximately 60 to 70 days. When putting this netting up you have several ways. I had some 9 foot metal fence posts left from repairing our goat fence. After we pound these into the ground the construction will be real quick and easy.

Nothing fancy, but it did the job
I wanted to try planting melons and cucumbers against a south-facing fence in my back yard. It worked well for supporting the plants. I was afraid it would be a huge tangle of strings, but actually it didn't get tangled as I unfolded it and looped it over the top of the fence slats to support it. I'm only going to use it once, but after a season, it looks like I could use it again if I wanted to take the time to carefully remove the now dead plants. I bought some more and strung it up at my community garden plot to hold melons, squash and beans and it worked well there too. I supported it with three 8-foot 1x2 boards into which I drilled a hole near the top. I buried the boards (now poles) about a foot deep in the ground, then staked a 1/4 nylon rope on one side, ran the rope through the holes at the top, hanging the net from it as I went, then staked the rope on the other end. For the beans, I also stuck some bamboo bean poles into the ground and connected them to the net at the top. It sagged a bit from the weight of the melons and squashes, but it stayed up for the whole season and I had a nice harvest. I recommend this for a quick, cheap trellis when you don't want to set up something more permanent.

Good luck getting it out of the package so you can use it.
This netting is great for the support of growing flowers, etc. Once set up, it works great. BUT OMG, the packaging to undo this stuff is almost impossible. What a mess. I spend far more time undoing it so I can get it. There has to be a better way to get it out and usable.

Strong and efficient garden trellis netting
This was a great fit for my long trellis. At 5'h x 20'l, I looped around the last 10' to have double netting at one end. Hopefully, this double netting will be a stronger support for the heavier fruit. The netting was easy to hang up and tie on a 1/2" conduit top. A few of the tie ends were shorter than others, but still long enough to secure it to the trellis if a bit more fiddly. I had zero problems with the net being tangled when I took it out of the package. I'm looking forward to seeing how it holds up to 3-10 lb. winter squash and melons at the end of the season.
