This will be my 4th pair of this same style of Birkenstocks. They are my go to. My last pair last 2 years and the pair before that 5. They always give way at the toe strap which makes sense because that is where the monster wear and tear occurs. Once I get them broken in, I know they are going to be as good as the other 3.

Finally found the needle in the haystack - the oiled leather Mayari in a 41 narrow. Had tried the 41N on last year in a store but they didn't come in a color that I could live with. When I ordered these, did some research to make sure I would be able to tell if these are knock-offs and they appear to be the real deal. Will need to wear them around the house a bit before I can decide if they are going to work. At first try on, the bump that is supposed to be under the toes seems to be placed a bit high in the sole, not allowing quite enough room for my long toes to fit between that and the end of the fitted insole. Will try snugging up the straps a bit to keep my feet from moving forward. Unfortunately, I have long narrow feet with long toes, so will update this review when I determine if I can keep them.

I ordered a size up and my toes still touched the edge. Returned and will need to be fitted for these in a store.

I've always loved the Birkenstocks since my first pair back in Germany 1991. They are the only brand I purchase and trust their quality.

I received fake Birkenstocks! No wonder you can only order in a size narrow! Birkenstock doesn’t even make this particular show in a narrow. Just found that out when I went to the Birkenstock Store. There was NO tag, but the box and label look pretty legit. Look closely at the first photo. The writing is a bit too dark and bled. If you’d never owned a pair, you might not know the distinctive difference. The sole of the shoe bed is off...absolutely fake!
