Yes, this oil exceeds the service requirements of API GL-5

Is this gear oil or transmission/differential? The photo shows one thing and the description says another.

I am using it for differential oil. Little heavy for transmission oil.

Can I use on a transmission

The SAE 75w-90 is for the rear ends. Trans oil uses a different oil weight.
