I am very satisfied with this product! If your cat likes to pull up carpet, you need the scratch stopper. I had tried adhesive tape, putting blankets against the door, and scratch sprays.. but nothing really worked like the scratch stopper does.Pros: It completely covers the spots at the doorways that my cat likes to scratch at. It is sturdy when on carpet and isn’t too noticeable. It’s not completely clear but still looks nice and presentable. I really wish I bought this product sooner, it would have saved my carpet!Cons: one of the doorways I use this product on is from my room (carpet) to the bathroom (hardwood) and if I place the mat on one side of the door I slip on it as does my cat, and it doesn’t stay in place as well. I’ve learned to step over it so I don’t slip but I often times have to push it back in place. The alternative is putting the mat on the other side of the door, however when I have the mat this way, she is able to put her paw under it form the hardwood side. If there was an add on adhesive I think this would be perfect! (Both alternatives pictured)A bit pricey if you’re buying multiple, but WORTH IT!

I’m so pleased this product has stopped my cat from scratching at the carpet at night. My partner and I unfortunately have to lock our cat out of our bedroom at night. One of the first few nights we did it, she scratched up a patch of carpet underneath the door pretty badly. If she scratched it like that another night, I knew the carpet would be completely ruined, so I started putting a huge cardboard box in front of the bedroom door every night as well as an old rug and her favorite scratching post. (The things we do for cats.)I was a bit upset when this product first arrived because it didn’t fit right even though I measured my door and bought the correct size. I had to cut out a certain portion of the middle in order for it to fit right up against my doorframe, but luckily it was pretty easy to cut. I was also a bit worried because it doesn’t really stick well to the carpet and I was afraid my cat would be able to move it around and start scratching again, but she hasn’t even tried doing so. I’m so happy to have all that other stuff out of my hallway now and am relieved she won’t be able to scratch at that corner anymore. This product is pricey, but worth it.

I have some carpeting in our upstairs hallway that desperately needs to be replaced, but it is a lower priority than some more urgent household projects. It is fraying near some of the doorways and makes a stunningly attractive nuisance for my four cats.Enter these - they fit my standard doorways perfectly! All you have to do is unroll them and lay them in the doorway, and they flattened out from the package within a day. When I need to remove them to vacuum, I just pick them straight up and set them aside since they don't use adhesive or anything to stay in place.So far, they seem quite durable - they can handle chairs rolling over them or vacuums rolling over (if I'm just passing through) with ease.Functionally, they were perfect for my needs and wholly addressed my use case of preventing cats from messing with the fraying carpet or pulling them up.

It fits ok, a little tight, but it should flatten out fairly soon and with more use.My cat seemed a little perplexed at first. It should serve me well in protecting my carpet.

I HATE cats (no, I don’t really, I just dislike much of their behavior 😂), and one thing (among many) that I can’t stand is her scratching up my carpet when I sleep in (I keep my door shut).This stops it. She hasn’t tried to scratch it for months. I got tired of waking up to the sounds of her ripping my carpet up (even when trying to sleep after her sleep schedule got wacky or she went into heat), and this did the trick.Now if only I could keep her off my counters and table… 🥰🥰🥰
