Amazing, classic fresh scent from a master perfumer.
Classic, mature men's fresh scent that gives the impression of confidence which comes with experience and success. It's been around since the 1960's and it's still going for a reason. This doesn't come across as an old scent, it's classic. If there's one complaint, it's that it doesn't last quite as long as I'd like, but for an EDT, what can you do? I spend most of my time in warmer weather and this one works very well in professional settings, or more formal outings.

My favorite scent
This has always been my favorite scent but I hadn't worn it in years as I hadn't seen it in stores. I was thrilled to find it on Amazon just by happenstance. It has a spicier undernoted than I remember and that is making it more intriguing to me. Love it

Timeless Elegance
Edmond Roudnitska created his first male fragrance in "Moustache" back in 1948 with wife Thèrèse Roudnitska. That one was mostly an exercise in Civet and Lime with some woods, herbs, and fermented fruits to freshen it up and round it out. With Eau Sauvage in 1966, he went for a softer and sweeter fragrance that moves away from a showing of male class into something closer to elegance and genteel understatement. The sweetness of this fragrance makes it more palatable to the modern nose than the strictly formal engagement of Moustache, even if it is vaguely similar to the venerable 4711 Eau de Cologne from Mülhens, and remains a good choice for casual day wear or romantic evening wear due to the allure of the softer ingredients. Spread out into an array of products including a "parfum" and an "extreme" version, Eau Sauvage has become something of a signature for the male side of the Dior line. if one is willing to take the plunge, one will get an inoffensive, multipurpose fragrance that speaks well of it's wearer.

Legendary scent for an excellent price.
Decades ago it used to be called "After-Shave" and it was slightly fresher. One of Dior's legendary scents. New versions of Eau Sauvage are too artificial and uninspired.

The best of all - a 50 year old classic
I have been using this masterpiece since 1971 on a very regular basis. Many mens' fragrances are wonderful, but this above all is the very best in my opinion, and I am not alone! It is not ' loud' nor does it announce you before you enter a room. It is meant to be savored by those close to you. I regret the after shave balm has largely gone missing except perhaps in very high end retail stores. From experience, if you choose this EDT please consider also obtaining a small (5ML) travel vial. Longevity is not the greatest and a spritz or two after three hours will be very beneficial for your enjoyment of this classic. It has been stupidly tinkered with due to either the dictatorial coercive idiots in the IFC or by bean counters at Dior, but, it surprisingly has retained its essential and classic core fragrance. Only go for the "Eau Sauvage" for the original - not anything with "Extreme" or "Sauvage" or the parfum version of a few years ago. Dior has in 2017 issued a new fragrance, listed I think as a Parfum which is also bearing the all important white label and is said to be more in keeping with the original scent here. Still too new to have filtered down to the non-rich among us. Hope this helped.

Bad quality
Not good quality, as soon you spray it the sent goes away, is not like it was before, the price is high for what you get, I'm very disappointed.
