I genuinely love this product! Some background: I have combination skin and often have difficulties finding a good color match due to time faded freckles all over my face. I am in my early thirties and I feel like my skin is in that weird in between phase where I am starting to get a few fine lines and my skin is starting to lose a little bit of its glow. I want to make sure I’m using products that are going to be gentle as my skin ages but also help me get some serious natural looking glow back. So I’ll list the reasons this product is now my everyday go to! 1. The coverage is buildable and isn’t heavy. I also have the kabuki brush and I like that I can have variations of coverage in different areas and it will all still blend together seamlessly. 2. I use a liquid concealer for my eyes. This powder blends over it well and doesn’t cause the concealer to cake up underneath like some other products I’ve tried. 3. The blurring and brightening effect is just beautiful! It has given me my natural glow back. 4. I use shade medium and I find it works very well with my freckles and complexion. It doesn’t mismatch my neck or look too light/dark. ANDDDD it doesn’t show up orange! Big win! 5. I don’t really need to use liquid foundation anymore because I get such good variation in whatever coverage I want. 6. Touch ups are very easy. I can go from less coverage during the day to simply adding more coverage at night before I go to dinner or anything like that. 7. Easy to travel with. I have started keeping it in my bag every day. 8. It doesn’t irritate my skin. 9. For a powder, it holds well throughout the day without clogging your pores. I don’t need a setting spray. 10. Because of the formula’s versatility, I feel that this is a great powder for ALL age types. My mom (age 65) now uses it and so does my younger coworker (age 26). Overall, great quality, versatility, broad coverage range, brightening, shade matching, and skin gentleness. Pricing is very reasonable as well. I’m truly grateful I found this as my new everyday foundation!

I'm almost 60/F, some wrinkles and a fair amount of discoloration, red spots, and sun damage, esp. on cheeks. This foundation (baked balance and brighten, color FAIR) is really easy to use. Feels like nothing, even when building. I used only basic, soft, fluffy brushes I had on hand; they worked well for light coverage, but I do think a denser brush option - like a retracting kabuki, as recommended - might work better for building. Very good coverage on bare skin (moisturizar only), pracrically perfect over an inexpensive primer. Almost all my flaws disappeared, even without concealer. Did not settle in wrinkles, either. I FEEL PRET-TY, OH-SO PRET-TY!...or, at least, "not bad for an old broad, not at all!". I do find that using primer is better over large pores and significant discoloration, such as have I. I used a budget brand with spf 30 and the foundation went on perfectly. It's FAST, too. The longest part if the process is waiting for the primer to dry, maybe 1-3 minutes. Found it difficult to shade match - but to be fair: When is it *not* difficult? Would be a very nice thing if Laura Geller Beauty offered an inexpensive "sampler" (say, $5.00 for just enough product for 1/2 face in two adjacent shades) to help in this process. I tried "PORCELAIN" first, but it was just a tad too light. The model wearing "FAIR" looks like an olive tone to me, whereas (I think?) I'm more peachy, like the "LIGHT" model - but I'm super pale...but ... but.. hem ..haw.. Seems really wasteful to open, use once and return a full product to try a color that isn't quite right, as I have. "Samplers" would really help reduce the volume of product returns, not to mention reduce waste and carbon footprints - just sayin'. Step up,😀Laura Geller. Goes on nicely without caking or going into wrinkles to make you appear older. This powder goes with all skin types and blends beautifully! I also bought the amazing brush applicator that LG makes and it makes makeup seamless! Highly recommend for ladies with “mature” skin!

This is a great option if you like a natural skin makeup look. I use tinted sunscreen as a base and the add this on top and it’s like my skin, only better. Big downside, though, if you have oily skin like me. Every few days the compact gets hard from the oils on the brush and I have to scrape the top layer to use it again. I feel like I’m wasting a lot of product but it’s the only way I can use it.

Colors are WAY darker than the names indicate. I usually use a medium neutral foundation and even the "light-3" shade is way too dark and orange-y for my skin. I can't imagine how any of these colors would look decent on someone with actual fair skin. Going to maybe try the "fair-2" shade next because I do like how the finish is on my oily face, but never in a million years would I have thought anything named "fair" or "light" would match my skin. I'd say go at least 2-3 shades lighter on this than you otherwise would.

I’m loving this baked powder foundation. I’ve never tried a powder foundation because I assumed there was no way it would work as well as liquid. Boy was I wrong. I put it on at 10am this morning. It’s now after 11pm and my makeup still looks fresh and as if I just put it on. It hasn’t worn off at all! Further, I have very oily skin and often apply powder several times a day. But I haven’t needed to apply powder even once today. Even my nose has remained oil free. I put it on dry at first, then put the other half on wet - but I didn’t really notice a difference either way, so I’ll probably apply it dry from now on. The coverage is great and gives an even, matte finish on my skin while lightly covering some sun spots I have on my face. And the color is a perfect match to my light, but slightly tanned skin. Today is the first time I’ve used it, but so far I am blown away and wish I’d tried it years ago. The price is a tad high if you’re on a budget, but it’s well worth it now that I’ve used it. I’ll be curious to see how long it lasts though. Regardless, I highly recommend and am super happy with this purchase.

Just received other day after getting on sale half price. I was impressed with the finish compared to most powders, there does seem to be shimmer, so good to keep in mind if you aren't looking for any shine. I agree with other reviews that it does have a little more orange/bronzing effect than I would expect for regular foundation shade and after using this is now my perfect go to for pairing with green color corrected balm since it perfectly balances out the green notes in red reduction color corrector giving you a natural balance. I would classify this as more of a color corrector balancing product than a straight foundation, if applied lightly it gives you a nice balanced effect evening out skin tone and could be great for adding a little more contour to face on light makeup days or with an otherwise very flat toned foundation/powder. If you do go heavy with this, you will get more of bronzed orange pigment notes than expected since those pigments come out stronger in mix. I'm glad I got this though because it fills gap of other products allowing me to just use the green balm I like for color correcting and then a quick powder of this over that looks beautiful.

This is my second purchase of this compact foundation. I am a natural very light blonde & look best with yellow undertone shades of foundation. I had ordered the color 'fair' directly from the manufacturer along with coordinating products, such as their highlighting powder, primer, brushes & blush (I don't use the blush). The color fair was perfect for me & I was amazed at how fast the makeup went on & the finished effect. I could brush it on quickly, apply a quick flick of the brightener (which I found to be a lovely compliment), completing the whole process in less than a minute. This immediately became my favorite go-to. It goes on so FAST & so SMOOTH which I found astounding considering my past experience with powder type foundations. When I saw this on Amazon, I promptly ordered another, choosing the exact same description (be sure to read the back label) & color. However, this next compact I received did not have as much of the central brighten(er) marble streak that the first compact had, which essentially changed the color a lot for me. So. I would caution that if you are as particular of your shade of foundation as I am (& after all, isn't that one of the major reasons we wear face makeup to begin with?) you may not receive exactly the same shade each time, changing your finished effect - even though you order the same product. I went ahead & ordered the porcelain highlighter compact hoping to use it overtop of the 'fair' shade to lighten the color. The brightener's recommended use is to enhance the cheekbones, nose & chin areas after applying the initial foundation. But because I'm using it to lighten the shade-too-dark foundation, it becomes a different function & adds more layers as well as time to the routine.. Which kind of vetoed what I had found to be the best qualities of the makeup to begin with. And needing to buy the extra brightener compact was an added expense I didn't expect. So once these have been used up, I'm not sure I'll purchase it again since my former cream foundation is a perfect shade for me. Being a light skinned blonde I look for a shade that is closest to my natural color which is not an easy task. Just a tad darker & I tend to look very 'made up'. So, if you prefer more color to your face, you may want to try this. I've never had a product go on more quickly & evenly with so little effort. No lines or streaks. For that feat alone, I will say that this foundation is amazing.

My wife bought this and she loves it. she has fair skin and the color is perfect and covers what she wants covered. she says it can feel a bit dry when first applied but lasts all day without setteling in to fine lines

After using the same foundation for the past 10 years, it was time for a change. The foundation I used in my 40’s no longer looked good in my 50’s and sat in my fine lines or made my skin look caked & dry. I’d done lots of research into different brands and it was a choice between Jones Road or Laura Geller. After watching a lot of videos, reviews & tutorials decided to give LG a go as it was less expensive. I’ve always brought make up in store but was reassured by their free returns/exchange policy incase the shade wasn’t right. I also liked the fact that they were Cruelty Free - something that was important to me but not immediately obvious on their website, I had to do some research to find this out (Laura Geller you’re missing a trick here!) I was pleased with the packaging and how the product looked but was really impressed with how the actual product worked for me. I’ve found dabbing a little on at a time with a big brush helps build the coverage to your liking. It definitely doesn’t sit in my fine lines and doesn’t look cakey. You can achieve a natural look easily and it’s long lasting. It definitely covers the redness on my nose & cheeks. I’ve been so impressed with this I ordered the next shade down too as my skin colour changes in winter in the UK when I lose my tan. I also ordered the Baked Starter Kit direct from LG in the USA as the discount was better. I’ve been beyond impressed with this. As a blonde with pinky tones, the colour choices are perfect and the products stay put. I’ve never been able to blend eyeshadow effectively but this colour combo and product makes me look like a pro!! So, a big YES for Laura Geller from the UK for me, great value for money and great products which are easy to use and compliment mature skin beautifully!

Ich mache mir selten die Mühe eine Rezension zu schreiben, dieses Puder hat es allerdings verdient! Als Kosmetikerin kenne ich allerhand Bräunungspuder, dieses ist unschlagbar! Ich bin ein eher blasser Herbsttyp und habe mich trotzdem an das dunkle Toffee gewagt und siehe da es wirft ein wunderschönes Braun in mein blasses Gesicht 👌 Mit dem richtigen Pinsel ein Highlight zu setzen, schafft jeder! Ich werde es immer wieder kaufen 🤗
