So, you’re ready for the transition? Congratulations. This is an exciting, yet often unsettling change for you and your child. That’s why we created the safest bed rail out there. Designed with the sturdiest steel, reinforced anchor system and extra height, you and your little one can sleep easy during this monumental transition. And… since the transition is emotional on everyone, we have thought about everything else… Bed time routines are an important bonding time for you and your child, so we designed a two-handed release latch that easily drops the guard rail so you can quickly get into and out of bed with your toddler. Don’t waste time trying to hassle with installation, either. There are no tools required and our handy instructions are easy to follow. You’ll be ready for bedtime in no time. Things aren’t typically built the way they used to be, but that’s not the case with this bedrail. We source the highest quality materials, so you can pack it up and store it until kid #2, 3, 4 or more arrive. The nylon mesh cover is removable and washable to account for those unintended accidents, and the metal will not bend or break even with the most restless kiddos. Many cheap side rails rely on the legs of the rail under the mattress to hold it in place, but this leads to problems such as bending, buckling and shifting. They simply aren’t safe. The reinforced anchor system that comes with the Safe Sleeper bed rail holds the rail firmly in place so that it doesn’t move around or scoot out from between the mattress and box spring. This provides significantly more safety for your little guy or gal. BED COMPATIBILITY Use with mattress and box spring, only (not platform beds). Perfect for twin, full, queen, and king size. Not intended for cribs, toddler beds, bunk beds or platform beds.

The best there is for tall mattresses, but some room for improvement.
I married a real princess, and yet our mattress is so thick that she cannot feel the peas placed under it by our toddlers. Our quest to find a worthy bed rail for such a formidable mattress was fruitless until we received the DexBaby Extra Tall Bed Rail. Now our little ones can join us up in our towering mattress without fearing a grizzly fall.Let's test out the claims:* 43” Long - True* Folds Down Easily - Echhh... it requires two hands and a pretty good wingspan to fold down, so it won't be easy to operate while carrying little nappers, especially if you're short. (But if you're short, why do you have such a tall mattress???). It usually takes me about 5 seconds of fumbling with my hands at the latching mechanisms, especially if it's dark in the room.* For Twin to King - Yep.Extra Pros:*It folds up into the locked position VERY quietly which is perfect for my light sleepers. Even the latching "click" hardly sounds like a "click" but more like the whispered "pluck" of a single dandelion seed leaving a stem and floating off with its fuzzy wick in a springtime breeze. I lay my little ones into bed and then fold up the rail like a ninja in the night... or a ninja at naptime.*The Safety Locking mechanism holds the rail very securely.Cons:*It's Extra Tall, yes, but I wish it were Extra TALLER. Another 2 or 3 inches of height would be perfect because if a pillow gets pushed up against the rail it becomes possible (at least on our tall mattresses) to roll right over this railing. Still, It's better than any alternatives I've found.*The safety locking mechanism uses a metal disk the size of a CD to firmly hold the rail against the mattress. This disk works fine for now, but the small size and pressure makes the unfinished disk edges dig at the mattress and box spring, which could potentially damage the mattress over time. There would be a smaller risk of mattress damage if the safety disk had a larger diameter or a rubber protective rim/edge. Again, this has room for improvement, but still is the best option that I've found on Amazon.

WORKS with ADULTS very well !!!!
I am a 41 year old adult who weighs 200lb who has epilepsy & needed something to help keep me from falling out of bed. I have a regular twin bed with a mattress and box springs. I bought this bed rail & it has been the best. No more falling on the floor. With the anchor system that is used it makes it skin tight to the side of the bed. So you can't fall through. I like it so much if I were to need a second one this will be the one I will buy again.

the product was defective from the manufacturer. One of the holes were missing to connect the bed rails together. It looked like the item was previously purchased and returned for the same reason because all the zip ties were cut and stuffed back in the box disappointed. I returned the item.

Not for very thick mattresses.
This was purchased for an elderly person but it didn't work because her bed was too thick as most beds are now. We kept it and are using it on a twin bed when our grandchildren visit.

Poor design
Anchor plate is not designed properly. The pull red tab and press plate then pull white cord method is poorly designed to tighten. Even the directions acknowledge this problem. The problem should not only be acknowledged; it should be corrected.

Does what it should.
I purchased the Bed rail for my 81 year old wife. Her Right leg would slip out of bed and she could not get it back into bed without help. We have had the bed rail on the bed for one week and it has stopped her leg from falling. this is why I bought it and it seems to work fine.No problems with assembly .

Good but little too high
The bed rail arrived very quickly, so I was able to install and use it earlier than expected - which was really good. Only thing is that the bed rail is a little too high, as it does not hang vertically when I lower the rail. It is at a slant so I cannot get close to the edge of the bed which is not very good. I'm trying to find a work-around for that issue..

I think overall the product functions well. Had purchased a bed rail years ago, that was already assembled, and the attached legs just folded out- so no assembly required. This model was , I thought ,far more complicated than it needed to be.
