Greenland Home 100% Cotton Fashion Quilt Collection, Prewashed, Reversible Quilt Set, 3-Piece Full/Queen, Katy

I needed something light-weight for my guest room. About eighteen months ago I first saw this quilt set and decided it be what I wanted. Times being what they are, I must save for what was once an easy purchase. As many of you know, the price for this can vary by about $40. It went out of stock a couple of times and came back in. The last time the price went from the $60 I had saved to about $110. I was more than a bit discouraged and made another search. This was more discouraging because I really loved the look of this quilt and , even at full price, it seemed a good value. So, I decided to save a bit longer. Then the price dropped to within $10 of what I had saved...so, I ordered it. The reviews were most helpful. I was quite prepared for a smaller than expected product having a few seams that would want trimming, yet was over all nicely made. Knew to follow the washing instructions as given, that it was perhaps a bit heavier and stiffer than I had been thinking. When it arrived, I had the pleasure of having a lovely feeling of gratification from having waited so long for something and discovering it was even better than expected. The colours are beautiful, not too bright. My confidence in the reviews was confirmed. I sat it beside my desk so as to admire it in its pristine state for a good hour. Then it went into the wash. That went as expected. Once dry (great new to me trick for drying heavy items...put a clean dry towel in with the wet item) and on the full-sized guest room bed I saw that I will need to use a dust ruffle. As I said above, I'd already gleaned a lot about the size from the reviews. The top side is loaded with flowers, mostly roses and lilacs. The reverse side is lilacs~lavender and pale white. The green is a bit more mint than sage, but it looks well in this garden. I slept under it and learned that it isn't too heavy, is comfortably warm on a cool night(the evening temperature here had dropped into the 20s), and can stand up to a 14lb dachshund running across it in the morning. (I suspect it wouldn't be much harmed by him running across it in the evening, but he was too tired before bed to try that.) Thanks to ALL the reviewers of this quilt set, I was prepared to be pleasantly surprised and was expecting some minor flaws, yet knew how to deal with them! My husband admitted that it looks great in the room and will work well with our theme. I am now considering saving for the matching throw...

I did quite a bit of searching before chosing this quilt. I was looking for something that is 100% cotton inside and out, and that would keep me warm without making me too hot. I got this in the mail and immediately washed it so I could use it and the pictures don't do it justice! The colors are vibrant without being too bright, and the design is so beautiful, the colors all go together well, I'm obsessed! It's also very comfortable and soft, I run hot and wanted to try something that is more thin than a traditional comforter so I got this quilt and I'm really glad that I did. The pillowcases are really nice too, cute tying detail on the back but still envelope case so no chance of the pillow falling out or moving around or anything. It's also nice and big, it falls of the bed nicely and is a good enough length that it's not touching the floor but still covering the sides nicely. The quality definitely seems worth it for the price. I've purchased a lot of bedding from Amazon and it can be hard to find high quality, affordable bedding. This quilt is definitely more expensive than all my other comforters, but not as expensive as most of the other 100% cotton quilts that I saw on here that were like $100+. I also see it lasting long, time will tell, but it held up in the wash without any fraying or loose threads or any signs of wear at all, which I can't say for any of my other bedding I got on Amazon after the first time I washed them lol.

For the price, the quality is great, because no one would guess this was less than 100 dollars. I am not saying it is premium quality, because it's not, but I would say it's an A-, which is fabulous because it's at a D+ price. A premium quality quilt runs 600 to 1200 dollars, and so for the 85 dollars I spent for this, I am actually impressed with the overall quality. It is a medium weight, but it is 100 % cotton fabric and 100% cotton batting. Which is fantastic. It clearly is prewashed, so it looks "quilty" right out of the package, you know that sort of wrinkled soft look that is so inviting about quilts. The colors are dead on what the pic shows. They are extremely vibrant and it is cheerful and homey. As far as fit, I have a sleep number M7, which is a deep mattress about 14 inches deep. It covers both sides of the mattress to the top of my sleigh bed wood side rails and there is plenty at the foot and head. If it shrinks, it may be short side to side, but out of the package it is not too short. For a purple lover, or a teen girl, the purple side is gorgeous because it's deep hue and extra thick white stitching, with the stripes on the under side. I however did not buy it for the purple and have it stripes up. It brings a lot of color to my bedroom, without screaming at you and because the colors are vibrant but earthy tones it's soothing and restful. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase. I bought two of the throws to use for curtain side panels, that I will pair with solids once I decide what color solid I want.

Received item this morning. It was very quickly shipped. The colors of the front of the quilt are vibrant and beautiful. Everything I had hoped for. It was three inches shorter than represented. This posed a problem as we expected an oversized king, for our split king. No such luck. The quilt was not oversized. We plan to compensate with a ruffle around the base. However the shams are WAY oversized... by about ten inches (five inches on each side of the sham, using king sized pillows). Loving the front of the quilt, the back was a disappointment. A drab blue & dark grey stripe pattern... no problem. Didn’t plan on using it anyway. We intend to make it work because we love the front design & color. It took two months to find the design & color of what I was seeking. (Okay, so I am picky.) it is perfect for our Rocky Mountain cabin. Greenland has beautiful designs. The mfgrs in China apparently are having issues with measurements. That said, I wish I had ordered a size larger. I will fill shams with soft stuffing instead of pillows and supplement with more decorative pillows. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the matching gypsy style window valances will be as represented... if so, we can work with it to keep the beautiful outer design of this outstanding vibrantly covered quilt. It is outstanding and the front material is quality. With a bit of ingenuity, we can make it work beautifully. For the price, the colorful design, and minimal effort to make it work well, it is well worth it.

I just got this quilt today. I washed it, dried it & put it on my bed. Every time I touch it I wonder why I didn't buy it 2 years ago. It's so nice & soft & quite pretty. The colors are vibrant & bold. The stitching seems good. It had a lot of lint on it out of the package, I assume from the batting inside during the quilting process. Lots of it came out in the dryer and none remained on the external fabric. I didn't rate the durability, because I just got it, so I can't say how well it will hold up. I have bought other quilts from this company, Greenland Home & they have been exceptional in how well they've held up over the years. I expect this one to do the same. I am very happy with this item & I would certainly buy it again. The only negative thing I can say about it is that the backs of the pillow shams kind of hold up the typical meaning of the word sham. They back is purple, like the back of the quilt, but it's just plain, super-lightweight cotton with ties at the middle split on the sham. The front is quilted & nice. If you look inside the sham, you can see the batting. I was expecting maybe an attached lining but there isn't. I don't care all that much about the shams, but overall they could be a little better quality. I would be happy with this quilt if it didn't even come with shams. So it's all good.

This product is terrific! I puchased the king quilt set for my queen size bed and the coverage is perfect. The shams are king size so I bought some modestly priced king pillows to complete the look. If you squish the pillows a little they fit nicely on a queen size bed. The colors are varied but I would say the main ones are light sage green and a yellow/cream in the background. Very restful but still will catch your eye. The background is not white as most internet pictures show them - much more creamy. I matched light sage green curtains with this and the effect is lovely. But cream curtains would go very well also. The weight of the quilt is not too heavy but not so light that it feels cheap. The workmanship is very good and the stitching is well done with no loose threads. (Our pug sleeps on the bed and this quilt puts up with an extra furry friend. Doesn't show an occasional paw print or dog hair.) All pictures show the spread hanging to the floor - I don't know what size bed that is or if it's photoshopped but it doesn't hang to the floor at all. Be aware of this - you will probably need a bedskirt. Makes things look more finished anyway. I would highly recommend this quilt set and would purchase other items from this manufacturer.

This quilt set is beautiful, the colors are vibrant and the quality is great for the price. The print is complex and detailed, and printed fairly crisply, but with a more casual boho effect rather than elegant or formal. This would be great in a teen or college age room, or maybe a guest room, but I was looking for deeper, richer colors for the master bedroom, where I have a deep teal ceiling to accent. I am sending it back because the colors are not what I hoped they would be. (That's my completely my mistake, because the picture is very accurate on my monitor, I just was hoping the colors would be a little deeper than they appeared. And with Amazon Prime, there was nothing to lose by ordering it to see if it worked!) The quilt is nicely made, the binding is straight and securely stitched on, the fabric is on the rougher side, but usually new bedding is, and I think it would soften up after an initial wash. The king option is generously sized and fits perfectly on my California king bed, and the shams are for king size pillows. The shams have back ties rather than zippers, but that's fine with me. The shams do not have the whole pattern with paisleys, sunbursts, swirls, pinwheels, feather shapes. They have mostly just the paisleys. This is not a heavy comforter, it is a very lightweight coverlet, which is what I wanted here in south Texas. It's basically two cotton sheets with a very thin layer of batting between them. I would say it's about the same weight as a thinner classic cotton woven blanket. One side is the beautiful paisley/sunbursts/swirls, the other is solid jade/aqua. The colors are bright lipstick red, mango orange, medium purple, purplish red, jade/aqua, yellow, mustard, red-orange, gray/beige and black. I realize that sounds garish, but it's not, just very vibrant and fun. The background is very white. There is no blue or green. Again, I am happy with the quality, it's just the overall look is not what I was hoping for.

These quilts (a queen and a twin) are everything they were promised to be, but they were even better quality than I expected. The colours are beautiful, the material is substantial, and the shams have a lovely touch: little ribbons to tie at the back. I put the quilts over light fluffy duvets, which I think gives the best look. The two beds are very inviting, and warmth is not an issue. (On its own, the quilt wouldn't be warm enough in winter, and without the duvet below, it would look a bit flat.) I couldn't recommend these quilts more highly.

Not really liking this... Not soft and it is smelly, like chemical smell... It will do for the guest room
