Earth Animal No Hide Medium Venison Flavored Natural Rawhide Free Dog Chews Long Lasting Chew Sticks |Treats for Large Dogs | Great for Aggressive Chewers (1 Pack)

Very upsetting to learn this product is likely not hide free. The "No hide" advertising of this product is misleading as I thought I was buying a rawhide / hide free product but later learned from a friend that this product is under scrutiny and facing possible lawsuits for dog death and false advertising. I searched the internet and found a couple of legal sites and a few independent review sites which confirmed this to be true. I will not be purchasing this product again.

Lies, lies, lies. Started getting these for our dog a few years ago, touted as no hide, and 92% digestible. . They are expensive, and they have changed. They don't break down the same and they are smaller, but the roll is thicker and have much less meat on them now. I have gotten some with mold on them which the seller exchanged. Based on all this I decided to do some research and see if Earth Animal has made some changes. Apparently they did due to costs. The digestibility numbers are way down in to the 60's but I don't even think I believe that. Turns out there are lawsuits against them contending that they are actually hides from China. Dog Food advisor has a thread where someone took it and a rawhide in and had them analyzed, similar material was the result. Earth Animal kept giving the person the run around and would not answer questions about the ingredients. They don't add up. My dog loves them, but the point of their product and what many of us dog owners strive to do is to provide our pet with a safe chew. The promise of no hide and the related toxic chemical treatments and the purported digestibility lead many of us to splurge on an expensive treat and boredom buster for our dogs. That is no longer what we can count on from Earth Animal. The FDA should get involved in this.

My dog developed vomiting after eating this and I ended up taking her to the emergency hospital three times over the next 4 days. She was admitted to the hospital for two nights after the third visit because in the space of an hour, her vomiting turned to diarrhea, then blood. She was diagnosed with hemorrhagic gastroenteritis, and her medical care cost me almost $3000 over the course of the ten days she was sick. There is no way to know for certain that this is what caused her vomiting and diarrhea, and eventually hemorrhaging, but this is the only thing she had eaten other than the dog food she has been on for years. A special Christmas treat I very much regret giving her.

I agree with consumers who report a decline in quality. I first purchased these chews st Bentleys pet supplies. Then found on amazon at better price. BUT, with each order the chews lasted less time, unrolled, and were no where near as good as they used to. My suspicion is that No Hide is producing 2 products--1 for Amazon and 1 for local pet supply stores. I may have to go back to local! Or start cooking real beef femurs again.

I have been buying these No hi chicken chews for a very long time I buy them in bulk and this is the first time this has happened - I don’t know if they’ve changed their formula or ingredients but this was very scary, my dog started choking and when I turned around to look the one part was in his throat I haven’t heard a response from them yet I called and I emailed- has this happened to anyone else out there? these are pretty expensive and I don’t mind paying the money but they are supposed to be safe but now I’m not so sure about that

My dog loved these chews and went absolutely crazy whenever I gave them to her. However, they gave my dog diarrhea. I thought it was something else but I put her on an elimination diet and once I stopped giving her these, her diarrhea stopped. I really wish it worked out for us.

Only 2 out of our 3 dogs were interested in and enjoyed chewing the flavoring off of the outside of these and chewing on them a bit. Then, a few hours later BOTH dogs had horrible gas... and later both had very soft stool and diarrhea all over the yard. We won't purchase these again.

My Irish setter puppy adores these chews, but I have noticed that over the course of time and many orders, the product appears to be getting thinner. One chew used to last 5-7 days, now he completely chews and eats them down to a nubbin within minutes. Very disappointed for the price charged for a three pack which amounts to approximately $6.00 per chew.

These are our dogs favourite chew treat. Delivery took forever, not sure if it was Customs or Covid related, took almost 6 weeks

My dog loves these bones and they last well considering she is a 80 lb Labrador.
