Junk, made of thin wood not metal
I purchased something similar to this off Amazon a few years back at roughly the same price, but that came with a solid heavy metal arm. This arm is wooden, not very sturdy and not very durable. The metal one is very stable and rock solid this one you can see it flex when you put a little pressure on it. For $60 it should be a better quality. I bought two of them and will keep them as not worth the headache of returning. But it will always be that cheap piece of furniture in my living room I give a dirty look to.Edit one month later...I start putting things on this table they were slipping off..then I noticed one of the screws is stripped now that holds the glass, I tried to retighten it, same thing happened immediately. The wood can't handle the very minor weight. This thing is absolute garbage...seller know that and they should include in description wood base... I have a metal one I purchaeed, similar to this and is absolute rick solid. These are disposable.

Rated highly for value and ease of assembly
I have purchased 3 of these end tables by now. Started out with 1 to see how it went. Objective was to find end table with minimal foot print, presentable appearance (I own an all-metal and glass version of this type of end table design that cost $500, but wanted to see how much less expense I could get away with) and ease of assembly. This table design satisfied all objectives without major drawbacks:- Top is tempered glass - a fraction of an inch thinner than my $500 end table, but not a structural issue- Stem is wood, painted silver - this is how costs are kept down, but appearance is satisfactory and I don't expect my guests to crawl on the floor examining the material. Rated good for bang-for-the-buck- Base is black shiny plastic-covered structural material. It might be covering particle board. It might be covering anything, but the black shiny plastic looks good and it works well to keep the table stable. I will not ask what it covers, since the table is stable, looks good and costs little.Assembly is "reasonably" easy. After assembling 3 of these little end tables, I recommend organizing the screws and fittings by placing them on the instruction sheet. Hint: Identify items that come in 2s!. Table can be assembled in about 10 minutes. Had no problems with anything missing or broken. The manufacturer packages this well.Weight Capacity: Have not tried this with heavy cats, children or tools. Original objective was to have something for guests to put their beverage containers on. Maybe a cell phone or a few remote controls for electronic gadgets. Table works very well for that. Have not needed to try anything heavier than that for what I have needed from it.

Nice little end table, great value.
I purchased (2) of these for $68 a piece on Feb 28th. They were originally listed for $60 I believe and then had a price increase up to $68. Looks like they just had another increase up to $75 and I can understand why. Even at $75, they are still very good buys and probably worth more even more in my opinion. The 4 plastic feet which you insert on the bottom of the base do in fact make these tables very easy to glide around on a hard-surfaced floor. I assume that the same is true on carpet. They feel very sturdy and can definitely securely hold anything that one might put on top of an end table this small. Directions were clear and easy to understand, install was a breeze. Very happy with these.

Check with your gift giver or receiver to make sure you receive the correct products
If I could give zero stars I would. The quality of the table seems fine. The problem is that I ordered 2 of these...a matched set for the reception area of a salon. They were a Christmas gift and I had them shipped out of state. When I finally visited this past week and saw them in the salon, I was incredibly disappointed to see two different tables. One was a pictured with the black base and semi-oval top whereas the second one was a white base and oval top. So Disappointed. I guess you need to verify with your gift recipient that they got the correct items. I only asked if they got " the tables" Why would I think I'd need to verify styles.

Nice looking but mine was defective
This table is nice looking and the materials themselves appear good enough quality. However, I had to return it because the pilot holes in the base did not match up with the holes in the table leg; they were off by such a considerable margin that it was almost funny. It's too bad because it looked like it would have been perfect for what I needed. Assuming I was just sent an outlier defective product and this isn't a systemic quality control issue, then for the price it's probably a pretty decent table.

I Recommend This Table
The instructions sort of sucked. Other than that, it is a good table. I decided not to install the feet that came with it, but instead I used small round furniture sliders that I got locally. So this table can glide around carpet easily. The base is a decent weight and the table seems steady. I like the fact that I can move it close in to basically hover over my sofa seat cushions and have a drink on it and when I sit down I don't have to be worried about knocking or spilling the drink. You can spend more money for one with a thicker glass top and heavier base, but why?

A little tricky to put together but we made it work
Directions were minimal. One of the screws didn’t fit perfectly, and there seemed to be only 1 nail hole for the 4 bottom feet, but we managed to hammer in the other 3 feet with some effort. End result seems to look and work fine though.
