GoMax QY7 Mini Bluetooth Headphone Compatible with iPhone 4 5 6 7 8 X and Samsung Cell Phones

These are clearly a cheap knockoff utilizing the QY7 basic design. I bought these to replace some Soundpeat QY7's that finally gave up after a year of use. I run every day, so that's a good life for $20 headphones. As soon as I opened the package, I could see the cheap build quality: buttons misaligned, very thin plastic used and sharp seams visible, and flimsy silicone used for the earpieces and ear tabs. Luckily, I was able to transfer the bud covers and ear wings from my old ones, so they would it properly. After several attempts, I finally got them paired with me Apple Watch. I then see that one earbud literally lights up blue and flashes (not in any specific pattern) while connected to Bluetooth. Note: my set is white, the dark ones might be better. However, If you want to look like the police at night, maybe these are for you... to me, it's very annoying. Then comes the sound quality... horrible and tinny. If the guts are the same as other QY7's, then it's the inferior thin plastic shell which is the cause. Another thing I noticed, the package and listing says Bluetooth 4.1 and the actual earpiece says 4.0. Bottom line, if you want/like this design (like I do), spend the extra $5 and get the Soundpeats.Note: the black and green ones are my old (better) Soundpeats and the white ones are these. The package came partially unwrapped as pictured.

I have purchased or been gifted about 8 Bluetooth speakers and/or headsets, and I have done a lot of comparisons. The reviews of this item were very positive, and I liked their appearance in the ads, so I was eager to try them. Upon receipt and opening the package, the warning bells sounded: there was a small green plastic part in the bottom of the padded envelope that I hoped was not part of my item. It was, though only decorative piece to match the functional button on the other side. Not a huge deal. I inspected the item and prepared it for charging. The tiny, green rubber protective USB cover came off in my hand and I immediately thought "this is going to be a pain to keep up with", before realizing that it is designed to pivot in place during charging, not come off. Poor design? Poor assembly? The real problem came with the sound check. The quality was very poor; no high end and a very muddy mid-range told me these were not satisfactory for music. Phone, spoken podcasts, audio books, maybe. I returned them (easy) and quickly got a memo from the CEO expressing concern with my dissatisfaction and asking for feedback, which I provided. Next, he authorized a free replacement set shipped to me right away in return for a honest posted review here. The replacement unit was completely intact, the mini-USB cover properly installed, and the sound quality was a night-and-day change. Don't think this will give you high-end performance, but very good for a small, very comfortable, lightweight headset. I would recommend this product even if it were not a freebie.

So after the seller read my review on how these headphones fell apart after a week, they sent me a new pair at no cost to me. Kudos to GoMax for making this right and shipping out a new pair of headphones overnight. I have only had the new pair a few days as I was out of town when they arrived. As I stated before the headphones work good and they stay put in my ears when I am running, which is a plus. Sound is good and controls work with iPhone 6. If I run into anymore problems with them I will be back to update this review. Updated: 5/29/2015 Still working good. No problems.

It is awesome easy to use

Edit to Previous Review Below....the seller sent me a replacement, and the replacement they sent was much better! These headphones are good for the price they are-pretty much what I expected. The quality is good and they hold the charge as well. I am a long distance runner and currently training for a Marathon, I will say that the ear pieces fall out after a few miles of a hot run. They are perfect for when I am in the gym and am only doing around 5 miles. I would and have recommended this product to other people.Original Review....Product was a waste of money. The charging wire was split when I received it, and when the product was plugged in the wire became very hot. Product would not hold a charge. When the product worked for the few minutes that it did, the ear pieces became very hot. The buttons on the earphones were very cheap. I wouldn't recommend this product.There wasn't anything wrong with the shipper but the product was horrible.

Perhaps I got a lemon, but these headphones did not deliver. The biggest issue I had was that volume is louder on the right than the left; in fact, the sound is very muffled on the left side. I tried the headphones on an Android phone and an iPad and the same problem occurred with both, so I know the problem is with the headphones and not my device. Also, at times the voice notification would keep saying "disconnected" even though I was never disconnected. Long story short, these headphones were basically unusable.
