The kids, and Dad, love it
The outer box arrived beat to death, but that's not for a PRODUCT rating (unlike what so many reviewers seem to think these days.) Five stars for ease of set-up and utility the kids are getting out of it. From the start, the instructions are pretty simple to follow; toward the in it gets a bit more difficult to see what the picture is trying to imply - but the color picture on the box helps out as well. Now, even on colder wet days the kids are heading out to play in, around and on the "spider web," as they call it. Some days they use the hand-holds and rubber bands to attach sheets and make it a place for a picnic, other days they get out there and climb around and get some exercise. The product is very sturdy and the powder coating is pretty good. This could last quite a few years. Time will tell if the kids will still love it, but I can tell you this much, I haven't seen one of these in any of our neighborhood yards; nor at our two nearby neighborhood playgrounds. It makes for a nice "change of pace" for the local friends, boys or girls. So nice to see them using their imaginations OUTSIDE again. Dad has also found that the V-shaped bars make for a really sturdy Chin-up (L-sit if you are tall) and Dip station for outdoor exercise. The top horizontal bars are also wide enough for regular pull-ups (hands pronated), but don't kip because you might hit your head. If you cannot do chins and dips yet, the first level bars are good for easy angled push-ups and horizontal rows. If your legs can handle it, or you wrap a towel or short swimming noodle around a top horizontal bar, you could hang upside down from it and hit some abs. Or hang inside and do knee-ups after your chin-ups. Throw in a $10 speed rope or other calisthenics next to it for more cardio in the circuit and you can have a quick, intense workout! One could also use it for flexibility training if they were so inclined. The only drawback is also a plus - for mowing, it is pretty large and takes up quite a bit of the yard. It is not too heavy to move with two young adults. However, it is nice to have one large enough for our family of 4 to all fit on or under it depending on the use at the time. The lowest horizontal bar level may be a bit too high for shorter 5 year olds.

So much fun!
This climber is amazing and very sturdy. We have all climbed this thing and it has no issue holding an adult. We added a swing to the middle based on some of the reviews and it’s my 6 year old favorite! We planned to hook it in the ground, but after building it, I don’t see the need. It does not move! I added several inches of mulch underneath for safety, but my clumsy child has not fallen yet. The only issue was building it - this was the biggest pain to build. Made building my fence seem like a piece of cake. The bottom bolts are very hard to attach with the washers because they are so short and you have to push the bars together very tightly to even try and attach the nut to the bolt (took me several tries before I was successful). The directions also are not as good as they should be and somewhat confusing. But now that it’s built, the kids love it! They play inside it and on it. Very glad we got this one too because it’s a great size and will last us for a long time. My 3 year old is close to being able to climb it (he’s also very short though) and my 6 yr old had no issue (and she’s small for her age too).

Best Grandma gift win EVER!
This is the second one of these climbing domes I've purchased. The two I bought were identical. The first one was for one group of grandchildren in Boise ID, who have played on it literally every single day for the last year and a half. It is amazingly sturdy, and I have even climbed on it myself. It takes two grownups to move it around from place to place in the yard, but it isn't terribly difficult to do so. (One big strong grownup can do it in a pinch) Despite almost constant use, the dome looks like brand new, none of the joints have loosened up, and the surface has remained lovely through all kinds of weather. My daughter managed to put it together herself, because she didn't want to wait for her husband to get home. She is a mid-30s, medium sized woman with a lot of motivation. It took her about three hours. She said it was really hard to do it alone, and recommends at least two people to work on it together. The manufacterer also recommends two people. The second one I ordered for my grandchildren in Olympia WA. The first one was so wonderful and had held up so well, that when considering what impressive gift to get for the other bunch, this seemed the obvious best choice. I happened to be there when it arrived, and was delighted to watch the assembly process. It was originally supposed to be a Christmas present, but since it was in a giant box by the door that was too big for Grandma to hide, we decided to set it up right away. This time there were two adults to put it together, and honestly, I'm impressed that my daughter had been able to do it on her own. You definitely want to have a helper if you can manage it. The assembled dome was very well received by the grandkids and their cousins, ranging in age from 2 to 11. All of us were impressed with the sturdiness of this dome, and it's also an attractive addition to the yard. Every single person who has seen either of the domes I purchased has been impressed, it's a fantastic way to get kids out into the yard and away from the TV. I found out that my grandson's Waldorf school purchased an identical dome for their play yard. Yes, it is that great. I recommend this climbing dome most whole-heartedly to anyone with children to entertain.

Quality that lasts.
We've had our dome several years and it is still doing great! It was pretty easy for 2 people to assemble. Our kids are now 10 and 11 and still love climbing on it and hanging upside down from the highest bars. It is easy to move when the grass needs to be mowed underneath.

safe, sturdy, fun!!
amazing purchase! my kids (5y and 2y) adore this dome. They go up and down all day if allowed. We put a hammock inside and that made it even safer and funner. My only regret is not buying one sooner!

Great toy, great price, headache assembly
1. Package/shipping is nuts. Box arrived very tattered just as other reviewers have said. 2. Product assembly is annoying! It's actually not that much to do but the sheer amount of elements that must sit one on top of the other made it very difficult to get a screw to go through allll of the holes and still have anything left to thread the nuts on. several times it forced us to need to use vice grips to hold parts together in order to be able to put the screws and nuts in and have them fit tightly. Again, it actually wasnt even that it would be difficult to assemble but some pieces flat out did not fit flat together even when you put them in the exact order the instructions say. 3. It's super fun and our boys (3 and 5) love it. It's a bit too tall for our 3 year old to pull himself up on, but he definitely tries and it's good that it's not really super high off the ground. Even if they fell it's just a shock but no broken bones or anything serious. It's also huge. 5 or 6 little kids could easily fit on it. And it moves super easy but it's great that the design keeps it from being able to blow away or anything since there's nothing to catch the wind. 4. All in all, we love it and it's a great purchase and really cool toy for kids at such a reasonable price.

High quality and sturdy!
Oh yea. This is the best. The kids use it constantly and there will be 6-8 kids on it at a time. It is very sturdy and low maintenance. It took 2 hours to build with one adult. For the price, you get a high quality item that will endure children & weather.

Best kids buy all year!
Got this at the beginning of the summer. Easy assembly and now it sits in the front yard as a nice centerpiece for our kid-friendly neighborhood. We hung a round swing in the middle of it, and now have a timer outside so the kids take turns without fighting! NOTE: can be moved by one adult when mowing lawn, but is tricky. It weighs about 100 lbs, but must be lifted from inside, under the center. I duck my head and grab 2 of the 5 radial bars, just basically do a squat lift and walk. If you lift any other way, the structure moves out of shape, then when you place it down it remains out of shape, then when someone climbs on it, the joints are forces to bend into a new slightly twisted shape. So, even with my method, I still need to make sure to put it down gently and evenly. Then I still do a quick perimeter check to make sure all the bars and joints are actually flat on the ground; usually a few of them need to kicked in or out to get the position right. Maybe that sounds like a lot, but only takes 20 seconds really. (A friend once moved it for me, but didn't take care to level it. Some of the joints still have residual bends in them from when my kids then climbed on the structure.) Other notes: my 2yo girl loved it too, but couldn't climb the lower bars at first, so she used a cardboard box. After a month, by the time she was almost three, she had no problem climbing up on the first level of the dome, unassisted and without a box, and can the walk the whole circumference many times. That said, she's not yet able or ready to climb to the next higher level, but that's OK.

Good value, kids love it, fixings a little poor
Got this for our 4 and 6 year old and they absolutely love it. Great open ended play for hours on end, lots of exercise and building strength/balance etc. It's very sturdy, and heavy, which means it's pretty permenant where it's constructed (I can drag it around the lawn to mow round it, but that's about it) Bear in mind this is made of steel and is thus very heavy (and strong), so get the delivery people to deliver to where you want it. There are a lot of poles and fixings, and they all look very similar so it does take a bit of concentration to make sure you're outting it together correctly. The only thing I was a bit disappointed by was the quality of some of the bolts. During the construction two of the bolts broke. Fortunately there are spares in the pack, but it does highlight that the fixings are a bit low quality. All in all, good climbing frame!

Perfect condition after almost 4 years!
This is one of the best purchases we have ever made for our kids. We bought this geodome in 2016 and it still standing in our backyard in brand-new condition. Not a pinch of rust, nothing has come loose and no colour fading has occurred. We have left it outside since we purchased it, through rain, beaming sun and snowy winters. The kids and their friends still absolutely love it (age 7 & 10). This isn't really a toy that the kids will outgrow quickly like swing sets & jungle gyms. The older girls like to sit on top of it and chat while the younger ones flip around and come up with tricks and games. Simply move it to mow the grass underneath and you're good to go! Assembly took 2 people about 1 hour. It was a bit tricky but absolutely doable.

fun for years to come!
This is a great product. My boys are 3 and 5 and they love to climb under and through the bars and when their mother relaxes a little, they can climb UP! We will use this for years. It's the perfect grow-with-me addition to our backyard! I followed the directions and completed the structure in just under three hours.
