Mr. Poom Poom is 13 lbs, and this is the most successful carrier of all! It is quite roomy for a big cat like him. He can sit up or curl quite comfortably. Although he still cry a bit in it, he handles the stress better because of the visibility on three sides of the backpack. He might feel “at least I can see where we’re going.” I added a box layered with a plastic bag and some towels to avoid mess if he happens to have a bathroom accident while traveling. It is pretty sturdy for smaller cat, but as my cat is quite heavy not sure how long this will last but so far I love it! I have used it three times for short travels (vet and stay over visits) and so far so good. And he kind of voluntarily gets into it when it’s time to go. Which is surprising as he does not like to travel in general. I will recommend this product.

It wasn't hard to figure out to zipper the sides of the carrier on and it is very well made. The inside bottom come out if you need it to and the color is so pretty. The straps are comfortable as well!

Guys, this is literally for a cat. Not even a shitzu size dog can fit in here. If you have a small ass dog like a chiwawa or something real small. I would recommend but to be honest. The holes are too small and the mesh net is think, I nmthink a kmcat could take the hit but not a dog. I think this will sufficate any dog especually for long hours in airport. This product was a definitely pass but not for a cat.

This is one of the biggest backpacks for kitties. My kitty loved how spacious it was, but if you live in a hot area like me your cat can easily get overheated. It's like a portable greenhouse for little furbabies. I got little back fans and towels to attach to the outside of the carrier.My cat in particular didn't like how exposed it was. She didn't feel safe because she didn't have any place to hide behind the plastic layer.I'd say that the quality of the fabric is great. Zippers, not so great. It doesn't zip on smoothly which can be a problem when stubborn cats have to go asap after hotel deadlines.What's great about the design though is that you can slightly zip the backpack open and pet your little baby. There won't be any big pockets that your cat can escape out of.I also love how beautiful this carrier is. It's in my favorite color, pink. The nice handle and entire structure is so sturdy that I feel safe with my cat in there. However, my little girl doesn't feel safe. It's just too small and exposed for her. I guess she likes carriers batter than backpacks. This honestly was one of the best kitty backpacks I saw on the internet.

It was a little bit confusing zipping both plastic sides on, but once I did it came together perfectly. This is the perfect carrier and the price is great. Ventilation is plenty, it’s not dark colored and hot, it is roomy for larger cats, it has a clip to hook their harness to. I had the smaller backpack version from “yourcatbackpack,” but not only was it smaller but it was less ventilated, hotter and way more expensive. Wishing I went with this one a long time ago.

This is the 5th backpack I've purchased for my cat and the one I use most often for non-hiking excursions. It can be uncomfortable go carry for long periods of time but that depends on how much your pet weighs and how strong you are. The chest straps are helpful. We put a small pillow on the bottom that we took out of a cat bed she had and it fits perfectly. (FYI- pillow not shown in photo)

I'm surprised at how good this product is. There's a smell, but I usually expect that now. There's film over the side panels when you first get it, so don't forget to peel that off. My cat is about 5 pounds and it holds her perfectly. Doesn't slouch, as far as I can tell.
