Q: What oil/solvent is recommended to calibrate the #3 cup?

As far as I know there isn't a way to calibrate the cup, I never had much luck with getting the same reading consistently or at all for that matter, I ended up buying a digital viscometer, but I haven't used it yet either.

Q: Does this come with a calibration certificate traceable to nist? if so, can i see a sample of the certificate?

Hey Ashley,I do not recall if this zahn cup came with a certificate or not. We calibrate our production cups one per year and this is a non production, specialty use cup for items of interests. Cory

Poor quality, fell apart!

Bad quality. Used it, works fine, go to clean it - the cup comes off the handle extremely easily and can’t be reattached. It shouldn’t have broken that easily.
