Perfect for iMac (21.5-inch, Mid 2011) w/ 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7!
Installed this in iMac (21.5-inch, Mid 2011) w/ 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7 and AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512 MB. Had this computer for more than 10yrs, but hadn't started it up 2019. It powered up just fine at first, then it shut off suddenly and started the 3-beep sequence. I looked it up and was surprised it had to do with memory since I've worked on computers for a while and never heard of that being an issue, especially for Mac. I accessed the memory and shuffled it around a couple times, but the error persisted. These were just a couple of 4gb Hynix modules that had to of been original to the computer. Saw that many were upgrading in excess of the 16gb recommended by Apple, so decided I would try the 8gb stick to see if they did the trick, and OH YEAH they make a huge difference. Even though Apple's not allowing any more upgrades, this thing is blazing with High Sierra. Will be adding another 16gb soon to max it out at 32gb. For about $20 it's a no brainer! If they're compatible with your model I would advise you to grab them ASAP to breath some new life into your old iMac. Next I'm going to work on upgrading the video card and display because this i7 is working like a champ!

Works in iMac
I used this to upgrade my late 2009 27 inch iMac which really needed the boost when I decide to upgrade the OS beyond what Apple normally allows. The install was simple on an iMac and they were recognized by the OS without issue. Doing some checking, it seems the specs are exactly as advertised and when I did a complete memory test I had no errors of any kind. Like most memory for computers you can usually get it to fail by hitting it hard right out of the gate if there is anything wrong with it. No matter what I threw at it, it kept going and didnโt crash meaning that it will probably last a good long time. At this price, itโs well worth it to bring some life to an old system. If you want to upgrade your old Mac to a newer OS, you can look up OpenCore Legacy Patcher and that will get you on the right track.

Brought old machine back to life.
I had been struggling to get any performance out of my mid-2011 iMac. It took forever to load programs and multitasking was out of the question. My memory meter constantly showed that I was 60-75% usage at any given time. I bought these cards after reading the reviews and the great price. I added 16gb to the 4gb that I had in the machine, to give me a total of 20gb. Programs load lightening fast and I can have several windows open at a time without any problems. Memory meter shows that I and staying around 20-30% usage. The RAM was easy to install and works great.

Restore your older iMac to its original speed and solid operation...
I have an iMac 27โ, mid 2011, with original 4 g ram, with two open slots. Over the last year or so, it just kept getting slower and slower, then started a kernel panic restart every other day or so. I searched the web for possible fixes. Most responses pointed to the ram is too low. So, after looking at various providers for this type product, I saw this one. It had continual high ratings and statements that installing these two additional cards fixed everything. I also learned that if you use the Chrome browser, it can also be part of the kernel panic restart issue. I quit using that browser as well, and had no other panic restarts of the system. I ordered these, received in two days, and installed in less than 5 minutes, yes, 5 minutes. Itโs as simple as loosening 3 screws on bottom of monitor and pushing the two cards in the slots. Power back on, and fixed. My iMac now runs line it used to run, fast. It has not restarted due to panic kernel errors either. If you have an older iMac giving you speed issues, and panic restarts, try this ow cost option to fix it.

Upgraded Late 2011 13' MacBook Pro from 4GB Ram to 16GB - Runs much better
Read the reviews and decided to try to "revive" my very buggy laptop (constant spinning rainbow wheel). It took me less than 10 minutes to remove the 10 small phillips head screws to remove the back of the computer, undo the battery connector, and then remove the two old memory cards and replace them with the new memory cards. The laptop started right up and it recognizes and utilizes the 16GB of new memory (laptop states that it can only be upgraded to 8GB of RAM, not correct). I no longer get the spinning rainbow wheel of "death"!!!! I've been using my laptop for the past week with no issues and I am very happy that I can use my laptop a bit longer. I will probably upgrade to a 1TB SSD hard drive next (hard not to with an average cost of around $70 bucks). Plenty of Youtube videos to show you exactly how to replace the RAM memory cards. Very easy to do, I would highly recommend.

Good produce at a good price
Boot up and program loading is now faster since upgrading my old Mac from 4GB to 8GB DDR memory. The memory units arrived quickly and installation took under 30 minutes. The only tricky part was getting to the lower of the two units (for both removal and installation), which was hard to access in a tight spot.

Installing the RAM into my Macbook Pro was extremely easy and I noticed the difference right away. My computer ran much faster and I was able to have multiple adobe programs open at once without any of them crashing. Been using the RAM for 4, almost 5 months now, and I havent had any issues. I read reviews about the computer crashing after a month or two so I also bought the year warranty. Still no problems and the warranty was only 7 dollars, good deal, great product, would recommend.
