My mixer used to leak grease at the top of the beater. We must have overheated the mixer at some point and broke down the grease. I used a youtube video to see how to replace all the grease. It was a relatively simple process. I have used the Kitchenaid mixer a few times since replacing grease. Works great and no leaks!
