Vapur Eclipse Outdoor Bottle

This is a really handy bottle, easy to fill, very light, and like the way it collapses as you drink the contents, so very practical to carry in a rucksack or a pocket. It really only has one irritation in my opinion, but its minor, and thats that after you've rinsed it out, it absolutely will not dry out inside! I tried it on the draining board, the window sill in the sun, right way up, wrong way up - there was still a mist of moisture droplets inside. Storing it with moisture in for a week or two between uses (in my case) isn't a good idea I would have thought. The simple way I addressed this was to rinse it out and then just pop it in the freezer. It's flat, so takes no room, the moisture freezes so no bacteria problem, and then to use it I just take it out for 5 minutes, rinse and refill.I'm not sure about 'dishwasher safe'.. keeping it in position sounds like it could be difficult as its so light, very little water would get up the spout and it wouldn't dry inside! All it needs is a good rinse out.

I'm a big fan of Vapur bottles in general, but not so much of this bottle in particular. It's got a matte coating which I really liked at first, but as soon as I used it and rolled it up a couple of times, the coating started rubbing off and looked horrible. It gave the bottle a weird greasy appearance, like I'd been holding it with oily hands. A shame, as this is a good size for longer journeys etc., but the tatty appearance just really put me off using it.I've subsequently bought the Vapur Shades Reusable Plastic Water Bottle - Grey, 0.5 Litres and although it's a slightly smaller capacity, I've been really pleased with it.

i'm still using mine 2 years later!!Took this on Hajj. Perfect for zam zam, for regular drinking water (and tracking how much you have consumed), keeping water for ablutions, or just an empty one in your bag in case you need to go to the bathroom and need water to make istinja (wash yourself). I've also used this as a hot water bottle several times when I have been without heating.

I've tried a lot of different ones over the years, but these last for a LONG time. The last one was over 2 years, and I only had to replace it because I dropped it in the woods and it was pierced (full of water).It works great with my filtration system too, so I have 2 - one for clean water and one for dirty, different colours.Can't recommend these highly enough!

Really great water bottle! Folds up absolutely tiny and has so far survived a 6 week backpacking trip being used every day. I love how it takes up almost zero space when empty, and when filled can be squeezed into whatever shape you have room for in your bag. Brilliant for travel The only complaint I have is that the matt coating wore off within a week, so if you are averse to a shiny water bottle then maybe this isn't for you. Also now I am home and not using it every day I am unsure how to store it completely dry, as no matter how long I have it draining upside down there is moisture inside... Still a fantastic product though.

The first one I got was clearly faulty, immediately started leaking. It was shoddily made, and the edges on both sides near the cap was not sealed properly, with obvious gaping edges. However, since the other reviewers didn't seem to be having this problem, I figured mine must just be the unlucky one. Gave it another chance, was sent a new one in the post (Well done to the customer service! I left mine really late, only got round to contacting them a few weeks after I'd received it cause I had been travelling, but they were willing to send a new one right away). Took a while, but I just used this on a 10-day holiday, hanging it off the strap of my bag. Worked perfectly this time, no leaks. Seems sturdy, hope it lasts a long time.

It was a bit different to how I thought it would be. It's made from stiffer, more crinkly plastic than I thought. I thought it would be more like a tough plastic bag. The matt finish soon rubs off, and it's shiny plastic, (though because it doesn't rub off everywhere, it looks a bit knackered and worn). The seal on the cap works very well, and I haven't had a leak so far, even with it being squashed in a bag, but it's always been upright, so not sure how it would perform being chucked in a backpack, if it was loose.

Brilliant water bottle and does what it says on the tin. I think this product is overpriced though, as there are cheaper ones. However; in this case I will say it is justified. Does it leak? No, Can you fold it away? Yes, is the hook good quality, yes. Can you clean it quickly? Yes and no and this is where it lets itself down. You really need to get into the bottle to keep it clean.
