Nice for long, straight, thick hair
Nice for long (22"), straight, thick hair, after de-tangling with wide-tooth comb. Nylon spiky bristles help boar bristles get to deeper strands, distributing natural oils throughout and evenly, and are nicely scratchy on the scalp. Not like when a plastic end protector comes off a cheap hairbrush; this is more gentle, intentional, and evenly distributed. The bamboo construction and rubber pad are nice; it's comfortable to use and seems like it will last a long time. Only wish it didn't have visible screws on the back. Not sure how I feel about the lacquered finish. Probably better for durability and hygiene, but it doesn't have the feel of nice raw polished bamboo.

Great brush!
This brush is just what I had been looking for! I have long, fine and thin hair. Other boar bristle brushes I've owned has bristles that were too soft to go through my hair and get out the tangles. This brush is perfect. It massages my scalp to get the blood flowing for healthy hair. This brush has encouraged me to brush more too. I never used to brush my hair that much before.

YOU'RE NOT GETTING BRUSH PICTURED!!!
Not happy about this at all!!! Due to busy schedule just was able to try to start a return but the window just closed on the 4th of April.I didn't even receive the brush pictured. Mine was rectangular NOT oval!!! Just taking it out of the plastic wrapper, two of the bristles broke off!!! I am someone who wouldn't write a negative review unless I really really felt it was necessary to warn other buyers! I love leaving 5 star reviews!!! I didn't receive the brush pictured. It's TOTALLY different and it very cheaply made!!! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!! I even orchard TWO of these. :-( :-(

Quality brush. Has lasted. I expect it will last for a few years or more.

Very nice brush but Hurts to use.
This brush was very well made and great quality for the price, but the long bristles are pretty sharp and hurt to use on my scalp. Having said that, I'm a man with about 6 inch curly thick hair, and I don't know if I'm using it wrong or something, but to be honest, I'm probably not going to use it again. I'll take the loss and do more research on my next brush.

Great Brush - Great Price
I bought this for my little girl. She has a boar's hair brush with no nylon bristles, but we found out that her hair is simply too thick and tangles too easily for that brush. This brush makes hair time tears-free. I have put one on my Amazon gift list for myself because I am constantly borrowing hers!

Perfect Brush!
Love how it grips the hair; really helps with blow drying if you want a straight look - I don't need to use my straightening iron anymore (in combo with my Babybliss dryer). The size of the brush is great too - not only grips hair well, but grabs a good amount of hair. Just bought another one for my mom!

What you see ain't what you get!!!
Had to send this back. What is pictured, described and priced is a brush with very fine nylon bristles ("pins") interspersed inside clumps of boar bristles, each clump having one nylon pin to about ten natural bristles. A very nice brush that my dog loves and which is worth $25+. (Top in the photo)What is sent is a much cheaper brush (worth about ten dollars at most) with a small oval of natural bristles, surrounded by 3 oval rows of thick bamboo (? plastic?) bristles (bottom in the photo). My dog does not like this one as much. With the good brush, stroking is gentle and the fine nylon pins loosen snags without pulling too much. With the cheap brush, you brush with the bamboo "pins", which pull more than a real pin brush OR you brush very carefully with the natural bristles in the center which don't reveal snags or mats. It's like two inferior brushes at once: a too-small hard-to-use natural brush and a too-stiff pin brush. It is Bass, though, so my dog likes to steal it and bury it for chewing the wooden handle.

Great for long, thick wavy hair.
Favourite hairbrush for my 2 daughters' long thick wavy hair. We bought one in Winners a while back and I was thrilled to see they are for sale on Amazon. No other brush we've tried comes close.
