A3 Outdoor Siren for the Tiiwee Home Alarm System - Wireless - Home Security - IP44 Waterproof - Battery or 220V Powered - Red Alarm Light

Been waiting a long time for this as it really completes the Tiiwee home alarm setup. Very easy to pair with existing PIR's, door sensors and remote controls. Only minor difficulty I encountered was fitting the two extremely small screws which fatsen the unit to the wall mounting bracket - mainly because they are very small and fiddly and you are at the top of a long ladder whilst attempting it. Works as it should - loud enough and with a big red light built into it. If its as reliable as the rest of the Tiiwee kit I shall be very happy.

Its an excellent alarm system. It was super easy to install and super easy to pair sensors including the extra ones I bought. I also bought the outdoor siren - my goodness its loud! Cant recommend it highly enough.

I read all the reviews and decided I would try the X1 alarm system. Sadly BREXIT had interfered with supplies into the UK and Amazon UK had no stock. Amazon.de however was fully stocked. Having checked with Amazon there would be no hidden charges in purchasing from the German site ordered from Amazon.de for delivery to the UK.Amazingly no issues at all. Correct VAT included in the purchase price , less than £3 delivery and all arrived inside 4 days. I payed the £3 currency exchange with Amazon and at the end of the day the price I payed was almost exactly the same as it would have been from the UK site. So long as you stay below the £135 import duty all is good.Equally impressed with Tiiwee customer support who replied same day and included product brochures for the systems I was looking to buy. I started with the X1XL pack and was sufficiently impressed to a go back and buy the external alarm and another door sensor.The system is wireless, items pair easily and the range is impressive covering my stables , garage and conservatory ( over 30 m including passing through thick stone walls.) operation (on/off) is just one push on the remote . Noise is impressive and the additional red strobe on the external alarm is very bright. I opted for the additional external alarm as the intent is to shock intruders into going away so having an internal alarm for us and an external blast in the intruders ears seemed a good idea. I only used the door/window sensors as motion detectors are in my experience too prone to false alarms. I elected to attach all sensors by the provided screws rather than sticky pads and this was quickly and easily achieved. My only minor issue was that the tiny screws to secure the external alarm to the mount are somewhat difficult to handle with cold fingers at the top of a ladder!The batteries are quoted as lasting for 10-12 months . First impression is of a great product and service. Hopefully like any insurance it will not be needed and will still be working well in a years time!Well done Tiiwee.

IP44 rating is not waterproof, the siren is essentially splash proof. I’m sorry, but if this is for outdoor use it needs to be completely weatherproof with a higher IP rating. It also ships with alkaline AA batteries which are not suitable for outdoor use. You need Lithium AA batteries for this. Given the price, it’s poor value for money.
