Good alarm
Fitted in a couple of minutes. Does not fit the previous models mount, (the one fitted with pp3/9v battery) you have to replace that with the one supplied. No problem 2 screws and your done.

Smoke alarm
I have had to reorder & pay for this alarm again as the 10 year one I purchased 2023 has stopped working! I have tried to discuss this, but need to be reassured that my home is protected, so despite the frustration I had no option, as I’ve not had a reply from Kiddie?

Lasted 6 years
Only lasted 6 years but still good value.

Quick installation but dead after only 3 months
Very easy to fit, small and discreet. However after only 3 months the battery is dying which sets off loud beeping warnings at alsorts of times. This is not acceptable for a 10 year product. I wish we could still buy the cheaper ones which had replaceable batteries, these are not replaceable and have to be binned when the battery goes on the blink.

Failed after 18 months
Don’t waste money on this! After 18 months it alarmed (overnight, of course) and wouldn’t stop. I had to take it into the garage to get some sleep. So much for a 10 year life! I’ll stick to one with a battery - at least you can shut it off when it fails. My experience is none of them last more than two to three years

It really does last 10 years
I bought one of these smoke alarms in late 2015. It has been trouble-free and reliable. There was one actual incident during this time but the alarm sounded and alerted me in time to take action. There was one false alarm in this time caused by a small build-up of dust in the sensor area which was easy to clean. I've now bought a replacement of the same type for the next 10 years.

Excellent
I bought 2 of these alarms to replace ones that were out of date. Arrived on time, well packaged & with easy instructions for fitting. I bought these because of the 10 year battery life & the reviews that purchasers had provided. They were a reasonable price compared to other products. I have given the battery life 5 stars because of the claims that they will last 10 years. Time will tell if this is correct.

J'ai eu l'occasion de vérifier son efficacité : une cuisson avec fumée a déclencher l'alarme. Quand elle arrive en fin de vie (9 ou10 ans) elle sonne légèrement de manière répétitive, ce qui est bien pensé.
