UPDATE: Jan 2017 My daughter sat on hers in June after having it only 6 months and it cracked the screen. not worth paying for a new screen. bought a Kindle Fire and I am much happier. My son put a password on his and doesnt remember the password :( he's 10 and well anyway the tablet still works presumably. I cannot reset it. I have tried all the tricks you can find on the web to reset the stupid thing.Overall these are crap and not worth the money. Buy a Kindle Fire. I bought two of these Deerbrook tablets for my kids for Christmas. I know they are going to love them! I really liked that there were multiple colors to choose from. The screen is a good size for kids. It is a great gift because of the price. Other tablets are more expensive but I'd rather not spend so much on something my kids might break. Accidents happen especially with kids. I have never used an android product before these came. I wanted to set them up before the kids got them. It was very easy to set up a google account for the kids. I made them an email and I plan to use Google play gift cards that you buy at the store instead of setting up a credit card. I love how easy it was to set up. I downloaded some games and that was super easy too! The only reason I did not give this tablet a 5 star is that after messing with it for an hour the battery was already at 50% so I think it could use a better battery. But my kids will use these at home mostly or in the car so we can keep a charger handy. I think these are great for younger kids and preteens!

I got this for my 12 year old stepdaughter. She is absolutely thrilled with it. I, however, am not. I did get the product "on sale", but for the original price, I would expect more. The camera is pretty terrible, but I expected that from reading other reviews and wasn't too worried about it. The usb charging cord doesn't really work. We had it hooked up for a few hours and the power increased about 2%. The wall charging cord fit into the tablet once and now does not fit. It will charge, but it does not go in all the way. When this happened, I wanted to return it but she wanted to keep it. I explained to her that if it quit working later on, there would be nothing I can do about it and she was ok with that. So we will see how long it lasts. She also has some other bugs with the screen freezing etc.. but so far nothing we couldn't fix. Also, Instagram is not compatible with the tablet as the description says.UPDATE: MARCH 14, 2016: LESS THAN3 MONTHS AFTER IT WAS FIRST USED.As said, I got this as a Christmas present for my 12 year old stepdaughter. I was on a very tight budget at the time and was looking for a quality item for a cheaper price. I saw that there was many 5 star reviews along with many poor reviews. I think I let the fact that I didn't have much to spend pushed me into believing the 5 star reviews. I wish that Amazon had the date reviewed vs. the date bought so that you could know how long the person has been using the product. I think that many people get a product and are satisfied at first but then if something goes wrong, they don't think to come back and update their review. I think this is extremely important because I rely on Amazon for reviews of any product I buy, even if I wind up buying it on another site. This tablet had given us minor problems from the beginning. First, the wall charger was difficult to fit in the tablet...then it didn't fit at all but still charged. Next was the freezing. She came to me each time it happened and I was able to fix it with a reset. (ie hold the power button down until the device turns itself off). This worked a few times. Around March 1st, my stepdaughter came to me and told me that the tablet was stuck on the opening screen (TabletPC). I tried resetting it again. It did not work. We tried charging it to 100%, which took about a week. It did not work. We then let it die, thinking maybe it had overheated (it does NOT turn itself off when charging and gets extremely hot...to the point where I was worried about it causing a fire). Recharged it again. It didn't work. Still stuck on the same screen. As I know that Amazon will only replace an item like this within a month of being purchased, I contacted the seller to let them know my situation.'This was for Christmas....for a child....I will not have the money to replace it unless I can get a refund.' I knew it was a long shot but thought that maybe they could help me out...if they cared. Nope. Response:Tricia,I'm sorry to hear this. Unfortunately, we were not notified in time and the warranty period for this item has expired. In the future, know that we stand behind our products and can fix or repair defective items within the specified warranty period.ie: We stand behind our product for one month. It really would have been worth the money if it lasted just a year....long enough for me to think that she was responsible enough for a more expensive device. Believe me, she has been so careful with this tablet, it was not anything she did. She has now been using my kindle, my husband's ipad and her sister's ipod. No troubles with any of them. This tablet is not worth the money. Even at the "sale" price. Do not waste your money for your child to just be crushed when it dies in such a short amount of time.

This review is a little late, but still relevant. This a decent product at first glance. It looks nice and comes professionally packaged. I bought one for my 10 year old daughter in 2014...it broke within the first month. The battery would drain in less than an hour, and finally would not take a charge. I have six children, and my husband was deployed to the Middle East at the time, and although the company offered to replace it, I did not find the time to package and return it...that is on me. However, I didn't learn. I bought another one last year, and it only last 3 months before the battery completely crapped out. I don't recommend this tablet at all...like I said, it looks nice, but will not last.

I just received it today, and so far it is really good. I got it for my 5 yr old daughter as a replacement for a Contixo tablet we had gotten for christmas. I did have a small issue with the pre-installed Youtube app. It doesn't work. My daughter was able to use it 2 times, then it just stopped working. It kept saying there was an error. We tried rebooting it, but still nothing. So we tried to uninstall and re-install it, but you cant uninstall it from the tablet. Actually, you cant find the pre-installed apps in the settings anywhere. So, we ended up bookmarking it using chrome, and adding it to the homepage so she can watch videos. Other then that, it seems to be a good tablet. Faster then her last one, and the sound is very nice. She hasn't played any games on it yet, but before I gave it to her, I played around with it for a while. It works pretty good. It's easy to maneuver, and the size is just right! The color and picture is wonderful, and bright. So far I am very happy with my purchase. If things keep up this well, I will be purchasing another one for my other daughter.

Dead on arrival. Further investigation showed that many, if not most, of them apparently are. The useless battery life I already knew about, but I needed the thing to at least power on when plugged in. No dice.

It was good enough when I first purchased it, but now I'm changing my review. The screen on my mom's tablet completely died, and now I'm going to have to send it back because I can't even get it to shut down. It's too bad. I hope that mine won't break down, too.

This is a Christmas present and we have not fully set it up yet...but from what we have done so far this looks like it will be a excellent gift for my 7 yr old grandson! The tablet looks very nice!
