Crayola Chalk 12ct

This box of 12 sticks of chalk arrived in a box almost as big as a shoe box and with zero packing material. Amazingly, only one piece was broken but I'm not at all surprised to see pics of broken pieces in other reviews.That aside, the chalk itself is fine. The pieces are slightly shorter than I was expecting at about 3", but I am honestly not sure if that's the standard size these days or not; I haven't used chalk in decades. It isn't very dusty, writes smoothly and erases well. I grabbed it on sale, so the price was good too.

The product is great. The writing on the chalkboard is really smooth and bright. The only problem I had was that the sticks were all broke when I got them in the mail.

The media could not be loaded.  The product is fine. The method of shipping is the problem. Two boxes of chalk placed loosely in a mailing bag. One box open and all the chalk broken. The other box was closed but 2 pieces broken.

The chalk is fine for my needs, but, every single piece was broken. Sent in an envelope. :(

Got the check on time like that part but again almost every piece was broken not as bad as the first two on the plus side but still was not impressed

I ordered this because I recently got into chalkboard art and this kind was specifically recommended by Valerie McKeehan, author of 'The Complete Book of Chalk Lettering.' It works perfect for this purpose. It's not truely "anti-dust." It actually has a good volume of dust, which makes it ideal for chalkboard art (as dust is an important aspect for board preparation and shading elements), but probably a headache for individuals who use it for its original purpose; Eg: School teachers. The chalk is not "dusty" until it's used or sharpened. In other words, when you take out a new peice and hold it, the chalk stick won't leave residue on your hand, and there's no dust in the box. I suspect this is because there's a protective coating on each stick that forms a seal... But once the seal is broken, it's very nice and dusty.I should also mention the size. I ordered a Mobius + Ruppert (M+R) Magnesium sharpener to use with this chalk. The diameter of the holes are 8 mm. The chalk ended up being slightly to large for the sharpener; but it fit on some other random chalk pieces I had laying around. Therefore, I think the diameter of this chalk may be slightly larger than most.P.S. This was the best price I found for the quantity (around $9 for 12 boxes).

I ordered 24 boxes of this chalk and EVERY single piece was broken in half. There was not 1 piece that was not broken. I may have been able to salvage a few broken pieces but they were so small there was no way.The chalk seemed shorter than other brands and were very light.The chalk may have arrived in one piece if it had been packed properly with any kind of packaging buy they were all just thrown into another box and shipped.I ended up buying a Japanese brand and loved it! Not one piece arrived broken!

7 year old granddaughter uses it for her art on her chalkboard. Wish I could buy it in larger quantities.

I NEEDED CHALK FOR MY KITCHEN BLACKBOARD. THE PRICE WAS RIGHT BUT IT TOOK A VERY LONG TIME TO GET IT DELIVERED. SMOOTH GLIDE OVER THE BOARD.

A couple of the sticks were cracked but still useable. Ideal for quick chalk and charcoal sketches.
