The Best so Far???
I seriously loved the last two books in this series, and I couldn't wait to read the this one, so I was pleasantly surprised to find it my favorite so far! I love the return to the characters of book one, and the villain of this novel was *chefs kiss*. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but seriously, if you're enjoying the series, you cannot go wrong with this one!

Better than the first book. Not as good as the second one.
The first thing that struck me wrong was how everybody so easily accepted the baby Dragon as Esofi and Adale's child, especially when I couldn't. I know dragons are intelligent creatures, in this world, but I had hard time seeing the beast like that. To me he felt like a pet. Every time people treated it like a child. I felt like when people take "pet parent" way too literally. "I sorry ladys but that stupid dragon isn't really your child".The next problem I had was how everybody was able to forgive and forget after the war. Dragons killed people ruined lives, seemingly unprovoked. Many good dragons died in their crusade to rid the world of humans, so they could win back the favor of their mother goddess. However after Esofi killed the Dragon emperor, both sides just kind of shook hands, said good game, and moved on. Where was the bitterness, the resentment. It just didn't feel realalistic that Sofi was taking the deaths of the dragons she killed harder than the dragons own families. There was the useless side plot of the assassination attempt on Sofi. It served no real purpose resolved off screen, and had no bearing it the main plot.It wasn't all bad. The ending felt more dramatic than the ending of the other two books. It actually felt like proper wrap up of both Sofi's internal, and external conflicts. I Just wish Adele wasn't such a useless character. Her entire purpose seems to be a cheerleader, for Sofi. She doen't even make good comic relief.I Will probably pick up another book in the serie, but I won't hold my breath for one.

Continues the Tales in a great way!
I enjoyed this one as well as the others. I was worried for a bit at the start, because I wanted it to jump right in. However, I understand the choice and believe it is necessary to truly get a strong sense for the characters. You get to understand the inner struggles on a deeper sense. Although some things were not completely wrapped up, it leave room for further depth into the world and the interaction of the characters and their personalities. I must say, when the 2nd tale begins to play a role, I could hear the well voiced audiobook as the interaction between all characters were hilarious and solemn when the need arouse. If you haven't listened to the Tales, I would recommend to try it out after you read the story. Either way, she will pull you into this world. I must say I am hooked. I plan to move on to the next short and anxiously await the next Tale in Inthya.

This book is badass
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAThe end fight between her and her mother (no spoilers) is phenomenal. Holy guacamole, I was waiting and the book was great and the dragons are THE BEST. and everything we learn is so cool and that water monster, very nifty, but omg, that end fight had me LIVING. I love Adale, I love Carinth, I love it all, but Esofi is the coolest human to EVER. BLARGH. And to see her character development from the first book to the end of this book is the most beautiful freaking thing I've ever laid eyes on.Effie Calvin has a mastery of words and characters and world-building that I have never seen before. Legit never, this whole series is my absolute favorite and I read these books SO fast. Oh my lordies. Sign me up, I am here for it all.

A Triumphant Return to Ieflaria
Note: This is the third of three (as of the date of this review) novels in the Tales of Inthya series. If you want to start at the beginning, check out The Queen of Ieflaria.Given my intense love for the second book in this series, I would be lying if I said I wasn't a teeny tiny bit worried The Queen of Rhodia wouldn't live up to its predecessor... but TQOR is a true page-turner. The previous two books present conflicts romantic, political and fantastical, but TQOR introduces new obstacles our heroines must overcome that are also deeply personal. Pacing and and the interleaving of lore into the narrative continues in excellence. Characters are explored and given more depth, and the climax is a jaw-dropper satisfying in a way that few are in an age of neverending sequels and reboots. This book gets my highest recommendation. Go read it!

Not as good
I gave this book 3 stars but if it been a stand along I probably would have given it less. I really love this series but this book felt like it was just a means to an end so thr author could get to the next book. I liked revisiting the characters from book 1 but I was disappointed at the slow meanderings of the plot and the final climax of the story was rather flat. I think its good to read if you wantto move onto books 4 and 5 but it is not my favorite. The author can do better.

Want to see two married princesses raising a Dragon together?
It continues the story from the first book. with the added bonus that Esofi and Adale are an adorable married couple. If I have one complaint, is that I felt Orsina wasn't as involved as I had hoped. But that's probably like complaining that only three of your four favorite characters got to shine.

Here There Be Baby Dragons
The kick-butt princesses from Book One in this series are back for an adventure featuring a baby magic dragon and a formidable mother-in-law. This series is so much fun--just what we need when the world seems a bit too grimdark!

I adore this author
This whole series is full of adorably flawed protagonists, with appropriately evil antagonists. The plot fairly whirls along on wings of well-judged prose. It's like I'm in the book. Thinking back, I feel like the whole series is a movie in my mind. I can recall scenes vividly in pictures and sound, which is very unusual for me.When the next book is out (Effie, please keep up the excellent work!), I may well re-read the whole series so the story is fresh in my mind.

Such an immersive world
Effie Calvin has managed to create a world and characters that you can't help falling in love with. The different plots of her three Tales of Inthya books are diverse and are somehow incredibly relatable despite being set in a world of magic and dragons. These books are a great read for fantasy lovers and newcomers alike. A must read.

Amazing!
I've read all three books and I was hooked. This one has a nice pace to it, and the growth of the characters from book 1 show in here. it's nice to see the main protags from book 2 in here too lending a hand. I do hope there's more of these since the world building and magic and Gods are all inticing

Great read
I’m addicted to these books. I have read 3 of 4 and would recommend them to everyone. It’s like Xena meets paper bag princess and Cinderella. (Not really) it’s just how my mind is relating to the characters.
