Good, but not super good.
The silver piece with two screws meant to be caught by the mechanism is a little on the skinny side, making a nice rolling door bounce a little when it stops. You can machine a custom piece to about 0.6 inches, but I feel that you shouldn't have to. My project required a special install, using these mounted right to the top of the door and some stops that I made which clamp to the bar above. I made mine 0.6" thick and the soft close mech grabs it without any slop. I will also be using these on a double door configuration for the same client and will almost certainly make my own catch blocks for the top of the door that are sized correctly and adjust enough to dial in the stopping position of the door. Minus 1 star for that detail. No idea what the durability of these will be, but I plan on ordering more in the future.

Works
It does work, I don't understand the reviews that say it doesn't. Perhaps they have their doors installed differently than I do with narrower spacing. Anyway, the instructions were virtually non-existent, on a piece of paper barely larger than a postage stamp. Fortunately I watched some youtube videos to get an idea of how it is supposed to work. And I am somewhat handy so I was able to eventually figure it out. Some hopefully helpful things... with this one, unlike some on the videos, you have to drill a couple of holes in the support bar. This needs to be done carefully. So first, mount the metal block on the top of the door in the center, the long dimension going front to back. Then remove the screws from the unit (along with the threaded metal squares that act as nuts). Close the door, and hold the unit up against the bar so that the metal block fits between the stationary part on the bottom and the moving part on the bottom. Since the screws are out, you can use the screw holes as guides where to drill the holes. Open the door and install it with the screws and metal squares/nuts. Then slide the moving part until it locks into the "up" position. Finally, close the door, and it should be working. Watch the youtube videos and this will make more sense.

Good closer.
Works well on a heavy door. I had to reduce the height of the aluminum catch blocks because it didn’t fit between the top of the door and the rail. A dremel cutoff wheel did the trick to shave about an 1/8 of an inch in height. After that it was an easy install. Installed six months ago and no issues yet. I would recommend and buy again if needed. Good price too.

Works well, could be more robust.
Works great. We used on an 8’ solid wood pocket door in a commercial environment. This is a HEAVY door and it worked well for about 4 months, then it broke. Ordered two more. One broke in a few days. The other seems to be holding up well. For the money, this is still a win. In a home environment or on a lighter door I think this would work well and last longer.

The little tabs that attach to the door are way too small
The little tabs that attach to the door are way too small. I'll be shopping for something else or fabricating some from a piece of leftover track. Do not buy unless you have a 1/2" gap between the top of your door and the rail. My fairly standard barn-door hardware hangs 1 1/8" from the bar.

Does exactly what it’s supposed to!
Hesitated buying this product after the reviews left previously, Instead of drilling into my rail incase the closer was not up to par, I installed them with 3M 30 lb. mounting tape. Works like a charm! Great product for the money!
