Easy and clean!
I used this on a window in a small laundry room. We needed privacy, but didn't want to lose light. Blinds were always closed (i.e.; cutting off light) and dusty. I like the clean modern feel this provides with the frosted glass look and no need for additional window dressing. It is less translucent that I anticipated. We can see green blurs, and there's a dark blur where the car is parked just 8 ft outside the window, but I can't make out any details. Of course, ditto for looking into the house, which was the priority. It was *easy* to apply, thanks to tips in previous reviews! Wash the window well. Cut the piece slightly larger than the window. Wet the glass well using a spray bottle of water with a drop of soap. Use tape to help separate the paper backing from the film. I didn't feel it was in any danger of ripping or sticking to it's self. It's much easier to deal with than contact paper and very forgiving. I used 2 of the factory edges on the window, so I wouldn't have to cut those. I didn't have any problems smoothing out the bubbles with the little squeegee supplied. At one point, I realized there was a flake of dirt under the film, and it was no problem to lift the film and dab the offending dirt speck out. After smoothing, I used a putty knife and box cutter to trim the other two edges of window.. and then realized I needed a fresh blade. Uh oh. It took me 10 minutes or so to find the blades and when I returned the window had dried and the film wasn't sticking on that side. Uh OH. But, no problem! I just peeled it back and resprayed the glass without any issues at all. For the second part of the double hung window. I unrolled the film and used the 'end', so I had another 2 factory edges to work with. It slides around easily on the wet glass and sticks well when smoothed and dried. It feels like it'll hold up ok to being wiped down, but of course, isn't going to last forever. I think, I'm going to appreciate being able to open the window without fussing with blinds or curtains. Excellent option for privacy, without damaging the window... no need to even drill holes for a rod or blinds!Edited 9/14: It's been over a year and still looks like day one.Edited 11/2015: Still looks good after two years! It's been easy to wipe down and withstood northern OH temperature extremes.Edited 8/2017 STILL looks GOOD! Still holding. Worth the money.

A little light and a lot of privacy
Where I live people tend to walk by my window at just random times. Kinda sucks when you just want to feel like you have privacy. I tended to keep my curtain closed all the time but that’s just gloomy after a while. Decided I’d give these a shot. I was looking for something that’s private but still gives a little light. I purchased several of these and can say they worked perfectly and were easy to install. It lets in just enough light that it gives the room a nice feel but at the same time nobody can see in.As for installation, you really just have to read and follow the instructions. It comes with a squeegee and instructions so all you need to provide is soap and water or, do what I did, and use glass cleaner and a spray bottle. I simple measured out what I needed, cut the film, cleaned my windows, applied excess glass cleaner, and sprayed a liberal amount of water from a spray bottle to both the window and film (on the side I was applying to the window). I applied the film from left to right and as I went I used the squeegee to apply the film. After u get it on where you want you can squeegee out the bubbles. It important you have plenty of water on there when you start because that’s what helps you to move the film around to get it adjusted as you go and allows you to squeegee out those bubbles in the end.Another thing to note is when you cut these you want to cut them slightly smaller then the window your applying them to, to leave a slight border. It's not going to fit tightly to the edges and if you have windows like I do there is old bits of paint and silicone along the edges so you need that border. Don't worry it will look good in the end, Just read the instructions all the way through as it explains this. Just take your time and measure everything out. If you haven’t heard it a million times I will say it anyhow, measure twice and cut once. May be stupid but it’s very true. Also if you do need to make adjustments do not be afraid to take it off. These are more like window cling when you apply them not stickers.Pros:- Lets in lite but no random onlookers.- The etched glass film has a nice look to it with my decor.Cons:- None, love these things so far.

Great product
Went on super easy and exactly what i hoped. Lets the design in my door window comes through but provides the privacy and helps mute some of the light that came through. This is a vinyl and not foil like most other window coverings. Wish they were all this material. No creasing and easy to adjust.

Works great, cumbersome to install
I’ve installed a lot of vinyl film over the years, so I’d say I know what I’m doing relatively well. This looks great up, but was a bear to get there because of the paper backing. The backing is super thick and stiff, so it makes the whole sheet curl up into a roll. It would have been so much easier to install if I wasn’t fighting with the paper. It is starting to peel away at the bottom now too, but that could be operator error.

Great product, adheres but isn’t too sticky and looks great
This is such a great product to use for privacy areas of windows or even so create the etched glass look. It’s easy to use and it’s easy to re position as well.

The right amount of privacy
I've tried many other window films, and this one was the ticket. I liked the guides provided. I was most concerned about how much privacy would be given. It's just right. People can't see in, even from a few feet away. There's a nice light diffusion at night coming in (from my neighbors), and it nicely dims the glare, not as bright as it used to be. This is the first time I've tried this kind of product in my kitchen, which requires the most privacy. A great find.
