Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress: Season One [Blu-ray]

Picture had great quality with no issues playing on my Samsung blu-ray player that I bought in the States.

from the first 5 minute I was already hook, the anime of this series is breathtaking, from the character designs to the landscape, at first the story will make you think that this is another zombie anime, "But nope" it went to another direction that made it better, this series is awesome am definitely going to watch it again.

I think this just might be the first time I have ever written a review of any anime I have purchased from Amazon .. and I have purchased a LOT.For some reason, I feel compelled to for this show. Why? It doesn't seem to get the attention it should, and its just a really good show. Mumei might just be my new favorite anime character! The animation is great ... the show had a good budget and it shows. The english voice acting is mostly excellent, though I do find Ikoma a little annoying at times .. but that's due to the way the character is written.I just finished episode 9 and the show has taken a turn of direction, but so far I haven't wanted to stop watching and look forward to the remaining 3 episodes. Lastly .. the music. The music is just amazing. Epic at times.With so many anime seasons just being pure fail: Gangsta / TriageX = unfinished, Guilty Crown = epic fail, the list goes on. A quality show like this is refreshing and appreciated.

World war Z and train to busan meets Doom and Mad Max. With a little bit of attack on titan for good measure. With zombies getting boring with the constant movies, TV shows, and video games coming out. Its gets boring seeing the same old undead. Even the walking dead has gotten stale over time, so it's great to see a zombie show that does something new and intriguing with the mythology of the undead ghouls.In this anime zombies are scary and vicious. Showing how much of a threat they pose but like all ZOmbie shows. Humans can be more dangerous and cruel then any ghoul. Makes you ask a question. What does to mean to be human.

One of my favorite Blockbuster cartoons, plus it’s the same studio behind Attack on Titan. I remember watching this online during its fall season premiere, had never seen an Asian cartoon this cinematic, somehow couldn’t look away. Now with an all-star English cast, thank god i don’t have to read friggin subtitles now. Plus it’s part of the “Essentials” collection so, hooray for affordability. Not as big a franchise as AOT, but it got a film sequel, so I can’t wait for that and after.

I really liked this anime

This anime has been toted as another Attack of the Titans. It is not! But that doesn't mean it is not worth collecting or seeing. I found the series good if not great entertainment. The hero is to whiney for my taste and the situations that befall our heroes get too far fetched. But these are not enough to stop you from caring for the characters or from enjoying the ride that is this anime.

Overall the anime was good, coming from the man who created Attack on Titan. The characters were rememberable but the shortness of the show left there development less fleshed out then other works done by Mr. Akira. Most people will probably lable this a "clone" of his more popular work. In my honest opinion its still worth a look.

Really enjoyed this anime when I watched it a few years back when it first came out. Interesting story, kind of a walking dead meets feudal japan. Enjoyed it so much that I watched it again on prime when I had prime, and then decided to buy it and add it to my person collection. Definitely recommend this series and still hoping for a second season.

Nothing to say about the show only just started watching just wanted to say that there is an english version available on this blu ray it just doesn't say it in the description. The vendor should advertise it properly that is why only 4 star show seems pretty decent though.

ブルーレイはPS3で再生可能。DVDは試してないのでわかりません。内容は…スチームパンクゾンビアクション？以下は感想です。ネタバレは無いつもり。━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━良い点①話の流れがまぁまぁわかりやすいこのアニメの専門用語や設定を知らなくても、キャラクター達が何をしたいのか最低限わかる。事前に少し設定を知っておけばより楽しめる。②主人公の目的がはっきりしている第一話で主人公の目標・能力の理由がはっきり示されている。感情移入しやすい。━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━悪い点は、後半の作画がダレる。ダレた作画が気になって後半の盛り上がりに水をさす…というか前半が良すぎた。他のアニメと比べれば普通なレベル。━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━全体として良くまとまってると思いました。上でも書きましたが、設定に軽く触れてからの視聴を強くおすすめします。

An utterly fantastic series, and a great twist on the zombie genre! If you took Attack on Titan, Snowpiercer, Sakura Taisen and Train to Busan, threw them all in a blender and hit "frappe", the odds are this is what you'd get.
