Ace 61286 7 All-Purpose Comb

My stepmom has used these combs for years and wont use anything else. They are sturdy and don't break easily. They are a perfect size and the price cant be beat!

Ace Combs have become hard to find. The big drugstore chains now carry other cheaper brands. But Ace combs are more durable and the teeth don’t scratch the scalp. Clearly, other brands are a waste of money. I’m glad Amazon maintains a broad inventory.

the combs were okay but they were NOT the rounded teeth that I had expected from this product. These were not barber quality...but they work as a comb I suppose.

It came as a surprise to me that a comb can actually be dangerous to your hair. But his comb has some quality control problems that can result in damage to your hair.This comb is sold in a package that contains 2 combs. There was no problem with the first comb. However, after washing my hair and using a conditioner--a time when there are never an knots--the 2nd comb kept catching as if my hair was full of tiny knots. Very strange.After inspecting the comb carefully, I found that the problem is due to manufacturing defects near the bottoms of the teeth of the comb. Moving down along the teeth of the comb, the gap between the teeth becomes smaller and smaller until it forms a pinch point that catches individual hairs.I'm not a hair expert, but this can't be good for your hair. My guess is that it results in split hair ends and short pieces of hair that are "guillotined" off as the hairs become caught between the teeth. Not a nice way to treat your hair.If possible, I'll try to add a picture that shows how the teeth merge together, thus causing pinch points well before the actual bottoms of the teeth.

I thought this comb would be a nice big handful of a comb like the old ace combs but no, it's very thin and small and hard to grill and you need to take a lighter to all the tones because when it comes off the plastic molder, they are very sharp and it will cut your face
