Awesome movie. I loved how this movie was an advancement of the first. Great action and amazing stunts by Reeves! Can't wait for the next one!! The first movie gave very little away about the background of John Wick and who he mingled with, here we get to enter the world and life of Wick. Fantastic gripping movie for all action hero fans wanting a real protagonist who has you on the edge of your seat throughout! 5• movie! Only negative for me was that they could have casted a few of the roles better but obviously Keanu brings the movie up and this can be overlooked!

John snubs the life out of everyones Wick....
Over the top non stop violence, senseless with evident reason for being so.......someone stole his car!!A beloved car that he wrecks within the first 15mins, in a action packed opening to the movie, which sets the standard for the body count. It's all been done before, shoot outs, close combat fight scenes, gruesome multiple ways to kill a bad guy, a mixture of Death Wish / James Bond / Rambo / Die Hard / with a guy who is basically a lethally retired hit man, a family, dog luvin', exhausted, miserable middle aged git, who's forced back to the life he left behind.......its a rollercoaster ride of a film.No Oscars to be won, no parade or hints of superstar status, Reeves plays the roll in a true honest dark manner that sits well with the main man, he becomes John Wick. It's just a bloody film, escape in it for the duration and believe that revenge can be hard work, but very satisfying and justified. It ends with the feel of a third John Wick film may surface in the near future....!!If not seen yet, watch the first movie, this being the second, then you'll be looking forward to number 3.Buy itEnjoy itThanks

It's not about the plot ...
There are many reason's for a film goer to be anti John Wick. The plot is very basic. The films are pretty much filled with silly mindless violence, much like a first person shooter console game. But here's the rub, also much like a first person shooter console game ... they are actually surprisingly entertaining. Why? Well, there are a lot of factors.Firstly Keanu Reeves. I don't know what it is about the guy: there's a simple honesty about him on screen that is always likeable. Right back from Bill & Ted, Point Break, Speed, The Matrix, and now John Wick ... the roles never require much, and yet he delivers them in a way that you just know that no one else could? There's no question there; I've witnessed this man over my lifetime: whatever he does, he always does to perfection. He has that rare trait of being able to make any character likeable. He can make anything cool ... even bow legs. And that's really what John Wick is all about. A bit of stylised cool. Even down to the fact that he has an iPhone and several suped-up classic American cars. For this, despite their other shortcomings, the John Wick films are actually excellent in many ways. Watch it for cinematography and you gain a wider appreciation of it's delivery that other medias couldn't express. It's visually striking. You can see and feel that every single scene has been painstakingly well thought out with regards colour co-ordination. And this is done via lighting, props, and sets, rather than after effects and CGI. The difference is both rare and noticeable in this age that is so over-inundated with bad CGI. It deserves to be applauded for that alone. You still can't beat well thought out real lighting and sets. It's orange/brown, green, blue colour palette, with the odd splash of red and purple, is consistent throughout; right down to the drinks and dresses at dinner parties. It's impressive how well colour has been used for a film where the main character dresses all in black. And all the action scenes themselves are also very well choreographed.I guess John Wick is a bit like Marmite: you either love it or hate it. But personally, I think much of that stems from what you take from Cinema as a creative medium. There is a lot about John Wick that is actually excellent that many may miss, and also a lot of stuff that is run of the mill average. But it's worth the watch for you to make up your own mind.

Keanu shoots more people
Would it be harsh if I said that many people were actually quite surprised at how good the first ‘John Wick’ film was? Keanu Reeves’ star seems to have waned over recent years and he’s hardly the A-lister he once was. However, with such success of the first outing, I guess a sequel was guaranteed. I eagerly sat down to watch ‘part 2,’ but somehow I didn’t feel that lightning has struck twice. The first time round the – seemingly indestructible – titular assassin went on a murderous rampage of revenge because some hoods killed his dog (no, seriously – that’s the kind of ‘character motivation’ we deal with in these films!). This time round, some baddies only go and total his car. Guess what… John Wick doesn’t just call his insurance company and hire a rental car until the garage can knock the dents out. He gets pretty much gather every gun not already used by Schwarzenegger and starts shooting people. And he does shoot a lot of people. He travels from one location getting surrounded by baddies who can’t really shoot straight (I believe this is now technically called ‘Stormtrooper aim’) and, if any do manage to scratch him, bullets only seem to graze him slightly. Then he shoots more people in a different setting. And that’s about it really. As much as I do enjoy action scenes (some of the shoot-outs in ‘The Matrix’ were literally revolutionary and nothing had ever been seen like it before in cinema) here it was literally Keanu shooting people. If a film’s main selling point is its action, I’d like to see something a bit more original. I know most fans of the genre will probably have seen every hero blast every type of gun in every type of location known to man, but, even now, there are still ways of coming up with something new (think of how the action is portrayed in recent films like ‘Kingsman, Shoot ‘em Up’ and ‘Upgrade’). Here, it’s just shooting people. At the end of the day, ‘John Wick 2’ isn’t a bad film. I didn’t hate it. I just was hoping for something a little more than one generic shoot out after the next. I felt his car ‘died’ for nothing here.
