The trick is getting it together...
Cons: The door latch to the nesting box is flimsy and bent before use also won't be a problem for a raccoon to just flick it up and kill your chickens. Will have to purchase a new locking one to keep raccoons out.The assembly was painful, frustrating and if I hadn't paid over two hundred for the coop I would have thrown it in a dumpster in frustration over blurry instructions that had too dark pictures and missing nuts and bolts. Still missing about 8 of the small ones that keep the roofs on, a couple of the main center frame ones and one of the poly-carbonate pieces has a bend/kink because of having to go back and redo the 6 original pieces because I couldn't figure out how it was supposed to go because the pictures were so dark. Had to strategically pick and choose where to put the nuts and bolts to ensure it would stay together till I get more.Assembling the nesting box was something that required careful consideration because it only goes together one way and your trying to juggle it and slide pieces. Sit down in you favorite calming place and stare very hard at blurry dark photos, read carefully and maybe enlist the help of a puzzle freak in your home.WEAR GLOVES WHEN INSTALLING THE LATHE PIECES! Very sharp! One slip and it ripped open the top of my thumb knuckle! the little ends of the diamond weave are very malleable and that makes it had to slide into place.Pros: The verbal instructions are very helpful. Read and try not to focus on those pictures. They warn you about a lot of the pitfalls and problems before you get there. The main door latches are a two part just like they are recommended to help keep raccoons from opening them. The nesting box is pretty strong despite it's seeming flimsy beginnings. The coop is strong. Easy to move, lightweight. The red really pops!OVERALL: I like it! The end result is the reward. Practice patience and using your common sense to muddle through the blurry, dark pictures that make it impossible to see how it should go together. Honestly would have preferred pictures like the ones you see in ikea instructions versus the actual pics. I budgeted two hours to get it together but it was more like four and a half with both sets of instructions being poor copies and missing nuts and bolts. My neighbors must have thought I was crazy mumbling profanities with blood all over my hand and arm. Unbelievably I'm going to go thru with building another one. I'd ordered one for my Mom and can't see her going through the stress of assembly alone. I love her too much to do that!

May not last through normal weather conditions.
We received this product yesterday (a day earlier than shipping estimates!) Construction with one person took about 3 hours, and took some figuring out. It was do-able, and instructions were very clear, but it was still an extremely complex process, and would be much easier with more than one person. Two of the plastic screw holes were stripped and useless upon arrival, but there were enough other fasteners that I am unconcerned about durability or having it fall apart. The polycarbonate panels are a bit flimsier than I expected, but I judge them sturdy enough to still hold up nicely to the weather. The pull out tray is very slippery for the birds to walk on, and shavings simply slide around under their feet. I am considering gluing textured strips for traction, although this will make it much more difficult to clean (and nearly impossible to sanitize). There may not be a good solution for this that allows for both ease of use for the chickens and cleanliness. I will have to see if our girls adjust. They also had some trouble with the ramp leading up into the roosting area. I will probably need to add small strips of wood across it for traction. They were able to get up eventually, but the ramp does not attach at the top, and they managed to knock it over in their initial attempts to climb (much flapping of wings was involved). Once the coop is put together, the ramp is NOT easy to get back into place, and involves crawling into the 24" space via the run doors at the bottom, and lifting it back up. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied. It's a good coop for the price, and very lightweight, but smaller than the pictures make it look, so be sure you are plotting out the measurements to be sure this will work for you. We have 2 full sized leghorn hens, two bantam hens (1 leghorn, 1 wyandotte), and a leghorn rooster, and they are comfortable with the size of the run. The rooster is taller than the lower run in the center section, but can easily stand upright in the side runs and in the center roosting area. The two bantams especially love it!Update: Mid-August, and the roof panels are all visibly bowing. As we have not yet hit any sort of bad weather, I am dubious about how well this will last over the winter. Crossing my fingers, but am definitely not as happy as I was 4 months ago.Update: after a few winters, this item has completely fallen apart. The roof has pitted, with small holes all over, and one side has bowed completely, leaving a large opening in the roof. The latches for the bottom of both sets of doors have rusted through and snapped off.

Not worth the price
I love the way it looks however it is cheaply made. The door latches and locks started to break off in my hands about a month after putting it up. I have four chickens in mine. It says it’s is good for six but I would not put more then four. There was a small hole in the plastic roof when I got it .

Very sturdy
Product is esthetically pleasing, and very good size for the price. But outside boxes were in perfect condition, while some how the polycarbonate panels inside had been dented . I’d still recommend to a friend .

nice but a little too small for our chickens.
It is built good and was fine when our chickens were smaller but the now that they are bigger, it's getting too small for them. We have six chickens. If you have maybe four chickens, it should work for you.

Materials of poor quality
Product not as described very flimsy. It’s not going to last and the roof material is not as described. Save your money we tried returning and the shipping cost just as much as the item.
