This glass mortar and pestle bowl is perfect for crushing powdered makeup to make new makeup mixtures. It is very affordable priced and well made. I will definitely buy another.

This is an extremely helpful tool for those looking to crush small pills. It’s advantage over a standard mortar and pestle is that you are able to see that you’ve removed all of the powdered pill from the mortar, due to the mortar’s transparency and smooth surface of the glass. This is an HUGE advantage over opaque mortars, especially when dealing with small pills where every bit counts. Be aware that because of the smooth surface of the glass, technique must be modified from a circular grinding to a tapping motion. Tapping the pill instantly shatters it, continuing to tap turns it into a fine powder. Depth of the mortar keeps pills from popping out and the pestle is heavy enough to crush pills easily. Very pleased with the design and function of this tool!

I use this to crush medications to administer them through a G-tube. It's very comfortable to hold and works well. The surface is very smooth and I'm able to get all the medication out of it without any difficulty. I use a small paintbrush to wipe the fine powder into the container I'm using to administer it. I have no complaints!

There was a chip in the pour spout. It's not terrible, just worrying

This mortar and pestle are the perfect size for my purpose. I got it to grind up some pills for one of my dogs so I can mix it in her food. She’s normally not too picky, but I had a challenge ahead of me trying to grind it up fine enough to slip into her food. This makes the job much easier, and I love that it has the spout on it and the way it looks. Very happy with my purchase!

Does the job.

I use this for grinding up "spices". I couldn't be happier. Turns everything into an EXTREMELY fine powder in a short amount of time. It isn't porus so you don't any spices. Easy to clean, easy to use.

I have owned mine for two months. It receives light use in the kitchen and is always hand washed and dried. I just noticed a chip that appeared on the pouring lip where it must have been bumped into another item. Now it is sharp and likely to cut someone during use. I will probably have to discard it for safety reasons. I wish I had read the reviews before making this purchase. I simply assumed it was borosilicate glass. Not good thinking on my part.
