It is a great improvement over the first model. I stopped using the 1st model because my DECT land line phone would not get a dial tone when I wanted to call out. I have been using the newer CPR Blocker Shield for only 2 days (or it would be 5 stars). I'm very happy with the improvements, and the compatability of my land line. It DOES block out VOIP (internet web calling), and my phone has been so quiet (LOVE IT). I do get a dial tone on my DECT phone regularly when I call out. Easily to install, and I recommend it if your'e tired of unwanted calls..

It is really too soon to know whether this will reduce the net number of annoying calls I get. Maybe not, as there seem to be unlimited groups that ignore do not call lists, and as they proliferate new bad numbers will appear. Still, it is deeply satisfying to hit the button, be disconnected, and know that I am now forever free from THAT one.My husband & now compete to answer even unknown numbers so as to get to hit the kill button.I have also called back marketers who leave annoying voice mails so as to hit the button on their number (it only works during a call, but it works even on calls I initiate.

I had several nuisance callers every day for the last couple years who just wouldn't give up. They would call me several times a day from morning till night. Robo calls. I bought this CPR Call Blocker and what do you know! Problem solved. All I had to do was push the red button as my home phone was ringing and that blocked that caller from then on. Now when they call me, my phone rings one time and stops. I don't have to get up and go see who is calling. The unit is very simple to hook up and use.

OK, I was a little skeptical but this is the "cat's meow". It just works and you can manually add numbers or area codes into the machine to customize the operation. We were getting 2-3 calls a day from telemarketers and now it's down to 1 a week. Once I add that number in the database, it never rings again. I would hardily endorse this product and they didn't pay me to say so;

This device effectively stops all nuisance calls. We were receiving several nuisance calls a day on our landline; the device has corrected that problem. Very easy to set-up and use. Money well spent. Highly recommend.

I like that with just a touch of a button I can remove annoying calls. I have had no problems with this product.

Very easy installation. Have already noticed reduction of unwanted calls. Built in numbers appear to include many that I would have manually blocked. Appears to work as avertised.

These reviews appear to be on several different CPR call blockers, so I’ll state that mine is the Call Blocker Shield. I’ve had it a month now, and it appears to be doing its job well. It was very easy to set up, but when it arrived it was missing the second white lead - not essential, but CPR kindly posted me one straight away. I thought I was going to need it, because in the first couple of days I had a call from a friend’s mobile - the number was in my landline phone - but the caller display came up as ‘Unknown, out of area’. I knew it was her because she immediately rang my mobile when I didn't answer the landline. However that was a one off - I’ve had several calls from this number now, all correctly displayed, as have all others.I’ve only had one scam call since installing this blocker - when I was away for a couple of days, and a message was left. I managed to block the number, and the absence of any other calls makes me think that we’ve probably had some, but they were included in the 2,000 already blocked.I’m well pleased with this Blocker now - happy to give it five stars and recommend it.

Since purchasing the CPR Call Blocker a week ago, I've received only One nuisance call from Tele sales , and I blocked that number straight away.The reason I purchased the Cpr blocker was because of the amount of unwanted calls i was receiving daily, it was at least 2 or 3 that I was receiving and it was getting so bad I stopped answering my phone completely and then checking the number afterwards on 1471 i would then know if the call was of any importance of not and then ring them back if it was ..So I'm very pleased with Call Blocker and can highly recommend it if anyone is having the same problems as I was..

Oh how I wish I had bought this a long time ago. Have to admit I had been very sceptical about whether it would work or not but driven to distraction by all the spam calls, I decided to buy one.Very quick to set up with various options eg inputting the numbers you want blocking, blocking international calls, and it works. You can block calls instantly if you recognise it as a spam call from caller display, and can customise it as you wish and change your mind about options you've picked at any time. I have had a few days absolute peace, with only family/friends phoning me - like it used to be before the days of marketing calls. Absolute bliss!What is amusing is that you can see the numbers of any spam callers who've tried to get through unsuccessfully - very satisfying :) Apparently the caller only hears 1 ring and then the line apparently goes dead. I've noticed that the real pests have now stopped ringing my number.I cannot recommend it highly enough - worth its weight in gold.Update :)I have now had the call blocker for a few weeks, and have cut down unwanted calls to ZERO! Sheer peace, at last.People having problems should read the instructions again, to ensure they have not missed anything, or ring CPR who are incredibly helpful (I phoned over 1 simple query and it was easily resolved).As I said it is worth its weight in gold :). Found to be an excellent product once I sorted out the BT wall connection. Before purchasing any product of this nature check the wall box connections. If, as my case I had the old wiring with only 2 wires connected they won’t work. So you will need a new face plate if you have this old system and ensure all 4 cables are connected.Later or new BT boxes should be no problem.

Brought this to stop cold callers but didn't work for me . While there were 2000 known cold callers on system the ones that did get through you couldn't stop because you had to press button while number was showing but you didn't know it was cold caller until you answered the phone and by then the number had gone so found this to be useless. Had to do away with both phones and cpr call blocker and buy BT total call blocker which works perfect.
