Works great after info from seller.
I originally gave this Bluetooth speaker a poor review due to its low volume, but after I posted it I was contacted by the seller. He informed me that the unit did indeed have volume controls, but that it wasn't in the documentation. Currently shipping items have that info added on a sticker on the packaging. Once armed with this information I'm happy to report that the volume is good and clearly audible even in a shower with an exhaust fan running. The buttons are however difficult to see in the shower - especially if you need glasses! But there aren't too many controls so I think we'll simply use a permanent marker on them to make them more visible. If you happen to have one of these units and are considering returning it due to volume issues, don't! The next/previous track buttons double as volume buttons if you hold them down.I have to laud the customer support from the seller as he not only took the time to contact me to help me with the issue, but also provided a unit to me (overnight) for free. Even if I had purchased another, it's still a good value for the money.

Handy and Loud Enough
Put this up in the shower today to listen to bluetooth songs from my cell phone. Loud enough and wouldn't you know, someone telephoned me to let me know they had arrived early and if not for having this stuck to the shower wall, I would have never heard the call and known they were waiting outside. Volume is plenty loud enough. I can't speak for whether or not it had enough treble, since I have a little high-frequency hearing loss, but if it is loud enough for me, the average listener should be pleased. One tip: order the yellow one, it is the cheapest...cannot beat the price. (I took a star away because the price varies according to the color you choose, which I think is ridiculous. It doesn't cost any more to manufacture the purple colored one than to make the yellow one...just price-gouging and taking advantage of you because of the popularity of some colors over others.)

This Wonderful Suction Cup Mounted Thing
So, I always had the conundrum of worrying about my iPhone getting water damaged from bathroom humidity. Let's face it, leaving your phone in your bathroom with the door closed and humidity from the hot water will damage your phone. It has happened to me before. This thing is awesome, it has the controls to change your music, and also has the ability to take Siri commands successfully. Its sound is acceptable, and it looks almost as pictured. The neat retro print insignia on the front wasn't present on the unit that was shipped to me, a little let down because I thought it was very cool to look at. Anyways I would buy this again, and intend to gift it. Nearly all cell phones have bluetooth and have music on them. Tips: rapidly press the phone button twice to engage Siri.

Great Speaker
I was a bit skeptical, but I bought this speaker for my shower and for other areas if I needed it. I was very surprised by the sound quality. It sounds really good especially when it is mounted on a wall or mirror. It is meant to have the sound reverberate off the wall. The only thing I dislike about the speaker is that when it is turned on, turned off or right when it connects via blutooth it beeps REALLY loud. When I first turned it on, my wife thought I was testing our smoke detector. I don't think it is quite that loud, but it is pretty close.I love the speaker and would give it 5 stars except for the unnecessarily loud beeping.

Works great so far
I have only had this speaker for a few days but have used it for around 10 hours already. I mainly bought this so that I could hear podcasts better than through the speaker on my Galaxy S3. The volume is great! I can hear music/podcasts in different rooms. I tried it in the shower (because you have to right?) and it worked fine. We also used it when doing dishes, cooking, and in our car while driving - we could clearly hear the sound just fine in all situations. The suction cup isn't the strongest and the speaker fell about 1-2 feet and bounced on our counter top. It kept playing with no issue (I doubt my phone would have fared as well). On cool thing I didn't know about the speaker is that you can actually answer calls on it. So now I can take the speaker outside and leave my phone inside. The range is really good. I can leave my phone in one room and walk around my 800 sq foot apartment with no trouble. As other people noted, the skip buttons are also the volume buttons. Hold them down to increase/decrease sound.Does it produce great sound quality? No. But it sounds as good as music from my phone's speaker. Will this speaker hold up for 2-3 years? Probably not. If feels cheap and I bought it to use in dangerous situations (near water, sand, travel). But for $20 this little speaker is a gem.

I was really hoping this would be better.
I've had this speaker for a while now. At first the battery life was pretty good but it has deteriorated on me. It seems to lose life just sitting so if I charge it and don't use it for a week it will be dead or I can use it for a week every time I shower before it dies. The volume control is really annoying, you have to hold down the skip forward or back button and hope you hold it long enough to start changing the volume and not accidentally skip a track... very irritating if you accidentally skip on a podcast. When the battery is going dead while you're listening it becomes unbearable after a minute since it starts giving the low battery warning every 15 seconds at an alarming volume. All in all I'd look at different options. It does what it's supposed to but the quirks are frustrating.

Snappy Speaker
This has worked great for a shower speaker. Nice and loud when lathering up and after some 6 months, no issues. Good sound and water resistant. Complaints: direct current requires a non-mini USB charger, which is kind of a pain, makes a VERY loud tone to signal bluetooth connection and power off which is somewhat irritating when others are still sleeping while I shower. Also, the charging connection has become wonky and I have to twist the cable to insure contact. The rubber stopper for charging hole also fell off, but hasn't been an issue so far.Overall, this has provided many hours of shower tunes without too much charging or other worries. Can't beat the price.
