Good but probably needs supervision.
Bought it for my Mom but unfortunately did not use. It seemed like. a good product. I think a person would need supervision.

Good Chair
This shower chair is very sturdy, the caster wheels are excellent. Instructions for assembly are not complicated, just require common sense. One of the pieces did not quite fit be I forced it as we needed the chair ASAP for an invalid and did not want to wait for a replacement. This chair has been excellent for our needs but it is rather a high seat for a smaller person. Our invalid is about 5'4'' and her feet do not touch the ground. We also use this chair as a toilet chair.....we put a long-ish piece of cardboard underneath to rest on the side bars under the armrests. We then put our old toilet chair "bowl" under the hole in the seat and rest it on the cardboard. We then just remove both for cleansing the bottom. Also, we have a fairly high "lip" to get into the shower and this chair is sturdy enough and stable enough to enable us to lift it in stages over the lip. The only two slight downsides are the bar against the back is a little uncomfortable so we always put some sort of pad over it (towel, etc.) and the brakes are slight at best. The chair will not roll away with the brakes on but the chair does not stay put if it gets knocked a little in trying to put someone on it. Otherwise, I felt it was the best chair option I saw (sturdiness, padding) and I am very pleased with it. It has met our needs very well.

Locking wheels...not!
There were no instructions in the box. We finally got it put together after some fumbling. It rolls smoothly. The screws for the back crossbar are too long and do not tighten completely. Wheel locks do not prevent the shower chair from moving. If you are slightly physically impaired and can keep your footing and have the strength to lower yourself and pick yourself up with out movement of the chair bothering you, this might work. If you have greater physical limitations the loose back crossbar & movement of the wheelchair when getting up and down make it unsafe to use (in my opinion). My family member, who has moderately advanced Parkinson's Disease, requires help standing & sitting and has some balance issues. Because the locks do not keep the chair in place, I believe that the chair would move away from him as he pressed against it to sit & leave him on the floor. We would need 2 people to get him in and out..one to hold the chair & one to help him. These definitely do NOT lock like a wheelchair and will not hold the chair in place not their own. The back is rather low so if you have to push the chair you have to bend to do so. I sat in it and the back felt uncomfortable to me...the metal crossbars did not hit in a good place. Returning.

Easy to use and no assembly
Very useful. Itโs exactly want I need to get my daughter is the walk in shower. I took one star off because the construction is very firm but the seat has popped off

Nice Chair, BUT.......
I have bought two of these chairs. I like the sturdiness, the functionality, and the cost is also quite good, but with both chairs the stability of the seat has been an issue. As a result of poor stability, the brackets that clip onto the bars of the chair suffer. The plastic brackets have failed on both chairs splitting in half and one also becoming loose from inside of the cushion. Whatever anchor it has on the inside failed or became loose. It is not a tightening screw issue as the screw is secure tight and there would be no way to access this area other than cutting the waterproof sealed cover off. Let there be no mistake, its not due to patient's weight. My mother is just 130lbs.

Who knows? Packing carton was beaten up and there was a hole near the bottom. Presumably, the hardware slipped out. Couldn't assemble the chair and had to return it. Not convenient. It would have been easier to give us a new package but that's not the policy. om

Long story short... the pvc cushion started to tear and our psw notices that the the wheels do not lock... so the chair is unstable and not safe to leave a person in the chair alone. Not a good purchase; as they say.. You get what you pay for.
