Scythe Slip Stream 120mm Case Fan (SY1225SL12L)

The Good: -Multiple connectors -Low RPM -Moves a lot of air Nothing bad to report I bought this fan to keep my ITX computer build running cool and quiet. I had to sacrifice the 5.25" drive bay because this fan is not small. It was kind of over-kill but I'm very satisfied with it. When I install it as an exhaust fan, it's quiet but does not cool as well as when I push air into the case. Seems like it would be the other way around. Exhausting it dropped normal operation from 49 degrees C down to 40. I turned it around and created positive pressure in the case but I could hear it. I'm sure that's because it's small inside with a lot of obstacles. It's not loud or anything...sort of a low drone that doesn't change. I really don't notice it. But I did notice it ran 5 degrees cooler! I mean the CPU seldom reaches 40 degrees. I don't have a big graphics card so maybe that's partly why. The more I thought about it, the better I like it pushing air in. For one, it's got a matching filter (separate purchase) so I won't be pulling dust in through every crack and crevice. Secondly, It aids the power supply's exhaust fan. Now, the CPU cooler fan and the PS fan never change RPM. Quiet...steady...cool. I'm happy with this purchase.

Excellent fan, very quiet. Lasts 3 years before it gets noisy and needs replacement. Much quieter than the Gentle Typhoon line... This is all you need for cooling a cabinet that has equipment in it. It's enough to move the hot air out.

Love these fans. I've tried a lot of fans over the last few years trying to make my computer silent and these are some of the best for noise. The bearings are completely inaudible even with my ear right up to them. They don't click, scratch, or hum like many I've tried. All you'll hear from this fan is air turbulence and I think they actually make a pleasant wooshing noise at higher RPM. At lower RPM they become completely inaudible to me though. There have also been a few tests and comparisons that have shown these to be among the best when it comes to performance per dba. They don't come with any fancy accessories or packaging and only a 2-year warranty but you can get them for almost half the price of Noctuas or Be Quiets. Oh and they don't come in a color that doesn't match or pair with any other pc components. ;)

Nothing dramatic or special about it. Just a basic case fan that works as desired. It is a little noisier than I expected but does it's job.

What can I say. I bought two of these for a baby dragon II (esxi server build) and the fans are just amazing. Silent for sure In my case (mini atx) and moves the right amount of air I needed. I would definitely purchase these again if I do a future build. sadly it looks like they may be hard to come by.

Previous purchase has not failed in 4 years...is used IN case for more air movement, just behind rear of GPU. Use BIOS for auto speed control. This a 4 wire unit that works well with a Gigabyte Z97 MoBo. This is my second purchase so lets see how well it lasts....I will update with reliability issues as they develop. Note RPM range for this unit.....help meet you needs by being informed.

Started grinding in less than 2 weeks. I would return but I threw away packaging.

I bought this to replace a 80mm. While there is better air flow, there is also an increase in sound. I can definitely hear this fan over the 80mm. It's not screaming loud, just noisier than the one it replaced. If you want better air flow and don't need it to be dead quiet, get this.

Habe mir den Lüfter angeschafft, weil meine in die Tage gekommenen passiv gekühlten Grafikkarten (2x Sapphire ATI Radeon 3870) unter Last ziemlich heiß geworden sind. Montagematerial wurde komplett mitgeliefert, so dass alles einwandfrei montiert werden kann. An der Stelle, wo der Lüfter hin sollte, war platztechnisch eigentlich nur ein kleinerer vorgesehen (ich hätte vorher mal nachmessen sollen...) so dass ich den 120er nur mit einer Schraube fixieren konnte. Dennoch bin ich überaus zufrieden mit dem Ergebnis. Es schwingt nichts, die GraKa ist um 10 Grad kühler unter Last und wirklich lauter geworden ist mein Rechner nicht - der lauteste Lüfter ist meines erachtens immernoch das (ebenfalls recht leise) bequiet Netzteil. Definitiv eine Kaufempfehlung (vor allem bei dem Preis)!

Muy silencioso y genera gran volumen de aire. Perfecto para instalar como fan case si quieres tener un PC silencioso. En mi caso monté dos, uno trasero y otro lateral.

Ils brassent bien l'air pour seulement 800 RPM et 11 dB.
