Are theses bags acid free. I need some for artwork i do to give as gifts.

They were terrible, smelly bags. I would not recommend!

24 high and 30 wide? Or 24 wide and 30 high?

I believe it is 24 high by 30 wide. We used them for 18" Easter Baskets, and there was just enough inches at the top to tie the ribbon on and have a little "topper". Hope that helps.

What is the exact thickness?

Not sure, they were thick enough for me to use for gift baskets. Had no trouble.
