Hertel Ski and Snowboard Wax Scraper

I grabbed this to help with a quick repair job and the better scrapers were out of stock for a couple weeks. Overall it may be handy to keep in a bag for when you need something on the road, but it's way too thin for heavy use.It came in extremely rough shape with lots of cosmetic scratches on the top(not a big deal) and roughly cut and heavily chipped sides. It looks like these were kept in a large box at the warehouse where they were allowed to bump into each other and chip the sides. The only protection was the layer of plastic that was affixed to the back of the sheet of plexi they cut it from. I managed to get the sides cleaned up, but the thinness meant I had to sharpen it fairly frequently to keep a good edge.Had I not needed it right away I would have sent it back, but it's really not even worth that for the $6.Dimensions are 4.5" x 2" x 1/8"

It's a Ski was scraper, and you can use it on your snowboard.... However, you'll keep asking yourself why haven't you bought a WIDER one instead... for roughly the same price.

Its a peice of plastic. Works well but i expected somthin a little nicer then a pice of plastic with a sticker on it

Did not seem worth the price. It was very small and seemed cheap. Product had rough edges. I regretted the buy.

This is pretty much your standard scraper, however its not long enough for modern fat skis. If your ski's largest dimension is less than 100mm it would work, however it doesn't reach both edges on anything wider than that. For carving skis, XC, etc. it would be fine.

This scraper is great...until you've used it for an entire season. The plastic wears and chips away after prolonged use. I still use mine from last season but I need a new one for sure. I will likely buy the same scraper though, because it does its job well.

I bought this scraper with my brick of wax, and am disappointed.It is very small around (2" by 4.5")and it is very thin (3/10ths of a cm)I am pretty sure I could break it in one hand if I put enough pressure and it bends easily.I do not expect it to last more than a couple of uses.Do not be deceived by the picture and buy a different scraper.

Like other reviews which stated this scraper was flimsy, the one I've received felt a bit weak. What I've found is that the flex of the scraper will aid in removing wax by bending with the board compared to a solid metal scraper. Again, great buy.
