Okay, I’m seeing quite a few reviews mentioning that the pieces in this book is advanced (late) intermediate or even advanced. It’s SO NOT. Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, 3rd movement is officially listed as “Early” Advanced. Look that up (it isn’t the well known, slow-paced piece you may be thinking of) and compare it to this sheet music. According to the SMP rating, the music in this book is a Level 5 Intermediate, and here’s the quote from SMP applying their Level 5 Intermediate definition to this book: “Seventh chords and melodies in both hands. More difficult note reading with ledger lines above and below the staff.” I mostly agree with this rating, although I do think at least one piece counts as a Level 4 Intermediate. Regardless, if you are buying this book for yourself, your best bet is to use Amazon’s “Look Inside This Book” feature and look at the pages they give you to preview and decide for yourself if you can handle this. The second thing I’d recommend is to go to YouTube and find videos of people playing the actual pieces from this book (meaning NOT Kyle Landry because that guy’s a freaking genius). Okay, all that aside: This is a GOOD selection of music from the film(s), and spot on as far as transcription. I’ve purchased other movie score books that were so far off that the music wasn’t even recognizable, but this is pretty perfect. My piano students get so excited when I pull it out of my magic piano bag and present it to them. I had one student use the music from this book for a middle school audition and she got the part, yay!

I love this book, and my kids love to hear me play out of it! It's definitely on the intermediate side, so don't buy this if you're expecting your beginner student to be able to play out of it. The arrangements are fun, very close to the original scores, and capture all my favorite melodies from the movies!

Piano book is nice & what i was wanting, but it was shipped in a bubble wrap envelope & has a bented crease in the cover. There was nothing protecting from being bent. Not really happy buying something, wait for a week to get it for it to have a crease bend in the cover. Amazon needs delivery feedback option.

Nice easy to play arrangements

If you want to learn some new piano songs, this will be perfect for you. The songs range in difficulty, but they can all be managed by beginners. Keep in mind though that its not one of those little kid beginner books. It's advanced enough to present a challenge for immediate players too. The songs are accurate to how they sound in the movie and complicated enough without being too hard. I'd say it's definitely a worthy purchase!

A great book of sheet music, and very promptly delivered; it only took around 1 week to arrive! The music has just the right blend of simplicity/complexity to make it easy enough to play while still being challenging for my teenage daughter, and yet sounding GREAT and very satisfying to belt out. We are very pleased, and would recommend this to anyone who likes the Pirates music.

My daughter (12) really enjoys playing this music as it sounds like the music in the movies, and we love hearing her play them. You need to be fairly good at the piano to play most of the pieces, so it isn't a book for beginners, more for intermediate or advanced players.

If you’re a fan of Pirates of the Caribbean and a musician it’s fun to play.
