For rock island 1911.
This fit perfectly on the rock island 1911 with the contour of the bottom of the plate. Mounted a crimson trace 1250 on it and it fit the footprint perfectly. The 1250 offers the docter footprint. This will NOT fit RMR optics.

Fits my Girsan 1911 45 ACP
I looked everywhere for one to fit my new pistol. This one fits perfectly. The only sight I could find that fits atop is the Crimson Trace. My only issue is the screws sheared off after about 20 rounds. Iโm looking for some that are stronger.

Fantastic!!!
After trying so many more expensive options looking for a sight mount to fit my Girsan MC1911 C this is the one that fit. I had to file down like the tiniest little bit for the sight plate to slide in. It's a nice tight fit put 100 rounds through it and it stayed in place and didn't come loose at all! Overall I'm super happy with this mount and its looks nice to boot.

Not Enough Thread Engagement for Many Models of 1911!
I installed this on a Para GI Expert, a pretty run-of-the-mill GI-type 1911. It took a bit of filing on the B2 piece to get it into the sight dovetail, which was to be expected. It installed easily enough and everything mounted up nicely. Unfortunately I shot about 50 bog-standard 230 grain 45 ACP rounds out of it and the two Phillips slot mounting screws stripped from the B2 dovetail piece. This caused my sight to become instantly loose. Luckily I missed a couple shots by a significant margin and noticed it before I shot the thing clear off my pistol like some other reviewers. Maybe there are some 1911s that have a dovetail that will allow the B2 piece to sit higher up in it and closer to the B1 mount plate it's meant to secure? The problem is that with my setup there was enough distance between B1 and B2 due to the dovetail size relative to the top profile of the slide that I only had a thread engagement of 2 or 3 threads. Not enough thread engagement = threads stripping under load. My recommendation to the vendor is to include a few lengths of screws and to tell the customer to pick the longest one that will sit flush in the B1 plate after installation. The 1911 has been around for over a century and the patent has long been out of Colt's hands. There are so many different makes and models of 1911 out there and so many different dovetail profiles that you can't make a product like this catered to just one of them unless you are precisely specific about what makes and models this will work on. That's my reason for giving this one star. The plate and the dovetail are completely fine, it was strictly the screws that failed. I might try and see if I can reverse-engineer what type of screw these are and buy some slightly longer ones, but then again, I'm not sure I want to risk another failure instead of just ponying up for a better mount.

Worked well on my RIA with a little work.
The angles are correct, it's just a little wide to start with. If you have a micrometer and a file it's an easy half hour install. Measure the old dovetail sight at its base and that's the number you want after filing the new piece, keeping the file flat against the sides. Mine was .329 thousandths and the new part was .334 thousandths. Work slowly, check frequently and you'll get a nice tight fit (as it should be). I've done 2 now and with a little dab of blue loctite and the 1 degree shim they're both holding up well and were easy to get sighted in (1 ADE 6 moa red dot and 1 ADE 3 moa green dot.)

It does NOT fit a Burris Fast fire C
I really wanted this to work. I have a Browning HiPower that I wanted to put a Dot on, so I bought this mount to match my Burris Fast fire C. It doesn't match the pin cuts in the sight. The mount is good enough, but the description of fit is inaccurate. The Burris Fast fire C requires RMSc, which is not the same as RMR Burris footprints. It the RMR the only footprint you have? I really want this to work on my HiPower.

Great buy. Needs some sanding
Worked great. ***you have to do some sanding on some models*** I like the fact that I had to sand the dovetail down. It made it so the figment was absolutely perfect. Locked on great and fire perfectly

Overall, good product
Great product but there were a few issues on installation. First of all, a dovetail sight tool is an absolute necessity, there's no way you are getting the mount into the dovetail on the slide with a drift...not without ruining it. The piece that fits into the dovetail was oversized on my slide so i had to file down both sides quite a bit just to be able to get it to slide into the dovetail groove. After i got it installed, the mount screwed on perfectly and my red-dot fits perfectly, i'm actually thinking in the long run that i wont mill down the slide and i'll leave it like it is right now with this adapter. Overall great product, just took some work on the initial fitment which wasn't a big enough deal to deter me from purchasing another one of these in the future.
