My cat has yet to escape from this, but not from lack of trying. So it seams to be escape proof so far, which is great. What I dislike about this is, that the first neck strap seams a bit too wide. Least for my cat. But I was able to adjust the main neck strap, so it rides lower for her comfort which is good. I also like the secondary neck straps which clicks together. This also lacks any way to affix a name tag, in case the cat gets off the leash which could use a better latch to secure to the harness. My over all opinion is that this is still a good set up, that could use some minor improvements. But should work just as good for a small dog, as it does on my 5 month old cat.

I gave it three stars because it seems like it is good quality, but it won't fit my cat comfortably. They tell you to measure the neck and chest girth but there are other things to consider in "fit".My cat is a bit plump, so even though I measured his neck and chest girth I was a little nervous it wouldn't fit, nonetheless I ordered the recommended size Large. To start, I guess my cat has a very short neck because the velcro strap covered his neck completely from his shoulders to his jaw. He looked like someone who had been in a car accident and was wearing a cervical collar and he couldn't move his neck.The length of it was also too short. The chest strap sat high under his arms and was obviously uncomfortable.

Our cat is a healthy size: tall, long, and lean; about 15-18 pounds . I tried a couple harnesses before this one and they just didn't work... they were too small, too tight, too loud with Velcro and clips everywhere. This harness is long, it fits him perfectly. Lots of room for adjustment and soft, stretchy material with super strong, quiet Velcro. It doesn't fit so tightly that his legs can't move properly, as was my issue with other harnesses, they almost looked like they cut the circulation to his front legs. The clip on this is perfect- its adjustable and secure, small and not in the way. My cat LOVES it! Stands perfectly still and lets me put it on him, no struggles!

Our cat is very big and strong and can get out of most harnesses. Something scared him one day when we were outside and he tried to get out of this harness. I was able to grab and hold him. I was impressed as all the ones I have had before, he could move his body around and escape them. That did not happen with this one.

It does fit my rather fat and Garfield shaped cat and although she is not too keen on it, she will walk alongside me whilst wearing it. However it is not well designed. The velcro fold over should be on the back where the strap fits. If left alone my cat just gets her back paws up underneath and flails away until she rips the velcro open and escapes, an't leave her for a moment unattended if she is out side or she would be off. Better than no harness but not great.

This is an extremely comfortable product for cats. Mine does not really like being held, but is perfectly content to have this put on. Then we can go outside without worry of getting lost/eaten/hit by vehicles. The only thing that would be nice is one of those unwindable leads so I could let him chase after lizards without ruining his stealth attacks by running with him, but at this price point, you really can’t get any better and since it uses a standard D ring attachment you can always go out and get one of those separately.

This is a great harness for all three of my cats to use! The harness looks and feels very secure when on my cats and I really like that there is the extra clasp on top of the Velcro at the neck. The cats seem to enjoy it...some more than others. Our youngest cat is our fearless explorer and has really enjoyed the opportunity to go walkabout with us in the evening. The other two are slightly less interested, but not that's got nothing to do with the leash.

Got the harness today and it fits perfect. It's VERY sturdy and durable and I doubt you'd find any flaws. Except I have a long haired cat and her hair gets pulled by the velcro straps underneath. If you have a short haired cat THIS IS THE PERFECT HARNESS.

A strong and comfortable one. I could get my cats trained in this one.
