Q: is there an auxiliary input for us old timers?

Aux port is not just for "old timers". You connect that to your laptop audio in, and pair your phone to the bluetooth. Then it's all automatic.

Q: I plan to use this as a pc speaker. can it be used while plugged in/being charged? does it have a ground buzz when plugged into both power and aux?

I can't answer the question related to this particular Anker speaker, but I have owned a SoundCore Sport XL Bluetooth Speaker since April of 2017, have had it plugged in to power to keep power/battery charged and use it for my pc speaker, and have had no issues with this unit whatsoever. I don't unplug it, take it away from my pc, so it's never unplugged from power and works great as such. I think Anker makes great products and hold up very well, and I would trust this unit to do the same if I bought it.

Q: Does this thing rock the house, or just the couch? Seriously, for the price, reviews and technology inside, is it any good?

I go on bike rides with 2 of this bad boys and let me tell you where this speaker really stands out is in Rock music. The highs and the mids are on point the bass is just enough to make the song sound clean. Other speakers would fade out in the wind and street noise once I started riding. So after I found out how good the first speaker performed I had to get a second one.

Q: Does anyone have any travel case suggestions for this speaker? i can't find one on the anker/soundcore website. thanks in advance.
